Nor will I EVER purchase from this family of dealers (regardless of the make). My new vehicle developed a squeak, which I thought was a minor brake thing, and since I use my vehicle EVERY day, I waited until I had a list of things for them to look at. The original visit resulted in a "we can't find anything" diagnosis. The second visit, after months of not being able to tolerate it, resulted in "oh, we found the problem, it's a bent axle". The vehicle has NEVER been off road (anyone would be able to tell by looking under the vehicle for the dirt that never goes away once you have taking it off road). The Service Manager told me that I had done it by off-roading - which I assured him I hadn't (see previous remarks about dirt that never goes away) and then he said that maybe I "drove over a curb" or something. REALLY! A Jeep Wrangler develops a bent axle by driving over a curb! - Come on man! The repair ended up costing me almost $800. I cannot tell you how hacked I was to write that check. The Service Manager might have saved the dealership some money, but they have lost a customer. In the last month I've bought a new vehicle for my wife and co-signed for a new vehicle for my daughter - neither of which was from a South Pointe dealership - wasn't even an option... Don't believe me South Pointe? - Check the local sales in the area - I know you guys can do that... More
An email I sent to Service Manager at Southpointe Thank you, but rest assured that I will not be using your service department, nor will anyone that I speak to. When I purchased the vehicle, the so-c Thank you, but rest assured that I will not be using your service department, nor will anyone that I speak to. When I purchased the vehicle, the so-called detailing was apparently a quick vacuum and a shot of smelly. There was trash in the pockets, dirty windows, and not even a good washing, much less any polish. I don't buy the sorry excuse that the detailers don't work for Southpointe. I don't think it was the detailers who overfilled the oil and took 4 hours to mount tires. I can't help but believe the shimmy in the wheel is because the new tires were either not balanced or balanced incorrectly. I wish that I had read the deplorable reviews on your website. I would have gone elsewhere as I will in the future. Service Department should mean Customer Service. More

I had my car in for brakes & trans fluid change & felt that the $41 shop charge was excessive for the work done. When I went to talk to the service manager Phillip Nash, He was very hostile, belligerent & screamed at me, eventually throwing me out of the service dept. & telling me to never come back again. This was a very childish attitude, so I went to the general manager who seemed to be helpful & said he would talk to Philip & call me back. He never did. Too bad service is ruined by such a horrible manager like Philip Nash, because they have some great mechanics & service writers. FYI; I have no problems with the parts or sales depts. just service. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!...over rated with 1 star!! They offered me $3500 less than NADA "trade in" value on a 1yr old BMW with 6200 total mi. (half of normal miles per year)....PRISTINE CONDITION! N They offered me $3500 less than NADA "trade in" value on a 1yr old BMW with 6200 total mi. (half of normal miles per year)....PRISTINE CONDITION! NOTE: (BMW of Tulsa...their sister company where I had bought the BMW from had the same exact car with 100 more miles listed for $8900 MORE than what they offered me for trade in). Then they wanted to add $2500 (which was the difference of what I owed and what they were offering me) to the price of the new car that I was interested in!!!....thus increasing their advertised price $2500 more!! (the car was only worth $26000 "to them" but I owed $28500....therefore they wanted me to finance the difference of $2500 on the new car loan. WHAT KIND OF COMMON SENSE DOES THAT MAKE??????) IN SUMMARY: They were not even willing to match NADA "trade-in" value ...not "retail" value on a like new BMW...garage kept. They were not willing to veer from their posted price on the sticker. To me.. if I was in business of selling cars I would make it a point to satisfy or even come close to satisfying my loyal customers .....I have bought more than my share of new cars here...5 new and 3 used in the past 15yrs. (kids, myself, my wife...etc.) I WILL NOT BUY A CAN OF OIL FROM THESE PEOPLE AGAIN!!.....loyalty means nothing......in addition, the manager even pointed out that he remembered me from 8mo. ago buying a new car!! Horrible!!! If I could put zero stars I would! I went to South Point during my recent vehicle search and will never go back there. I do not care if they had the last vehicle in town I would not buy I went to South Point during my recent vehicle search and will never go back there. I do not care if they had the last vehicle in town I would not buy it from there. The whole experience started by finding a vehicle online that they had listed as new with 1 mile and at a certain price. I went in to look at the vehicle and right off the bat the salesman made me feel like he was doing me a favor by being there. The vehicle had coke stains on the rear vents and there were crumbs on the floor in the backseat, the vehicle also had around 1,500 miles on it! No where near the 1 mile they had listed. I can understand some miles for test drives, etc. but 1,500 is ridiculous. The salesman acted annoyed when we asked about the stains and miles...come to find out the vehicle was the GM's wife's daily driver! The salesman tried to pull the whole "but it is a new car" but let's be honest, if it was someones daily driver...it is a used vehicle! We went inside to discuss pricing and the price was $3,000 higher than they had listed online. Again the salesman acted irritated by our questioning and left to talk to the sales manager. The sales manager wasn't much better as he tried to pressure us into buying something right then and there even though we already had not had a great experience from the beginning. Again, I don't care what vehicle they have or what price they have it for...I would never buy anything from these jerks! More
From the time I got on the lot till the time I left, I never felt I was under pressure to buy. Since I was looking for a used car, I was tactfully transferred over the pre-owned car department. Ritchie B never felt I was under pressure to buy. Since I was looking for a used car, I was tactfully transferred over the pre-owned car department. Ritchie Breaux, my salesman, was very helpful and worked hard to get a competitive loan. After the sale was completed I needed to drop my rent car off at the airport. Ritchie arranged someone (who was also very friendly)to follow me out to the airport and drive me back to the lot. Overall my car purchase experience was one of the smoothest and quickest I had in a long time. If I knew a friend that was in the market for a car I would recommend South Pointe Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM. More
