I had an issue with my AC. They got me in immediately and found my compressor was shot. They communicated everything to me every step of the way and took care of my vehicle. Thie review is for the Service Department. My car was making a rattle noise and I had taken it to another dealer as the dealer was only a couple miles from my work. They had my car for 4 day My car was making a rattle noise and I had taken it to another dealer as the dealer was only a couple miles from my work. They had my car for 4 days then advised they resolved the issue, however after picking it up it was still there. I decided to take my car out to South Pointe Chevrolet even though it's quite a distance. Received excellent service. My service technician Charles (CJ) Johnson was able to recreate the rattling noise and resolve it within a day. Also CJ kept me informed of progress as he worked on my car. I had been dealing with the rattle for months and now it's like my car is brand new again. Also would like to mention their shuttle service was excellent and Ken was a pleasure to talk too as he drove me home from dropping off. Highly recommend for service issues. More
When we walked in we were not greeted by anyone, We had to ask for some one. Our sales lady Haley was awesome and so sweet. The general manager Derrick was a serious piece of work. Well here it is. I purchased a Chevrolet Trax from this dealership and it was used. I really had no issue with that and knew that a used car could break down. I was not expecting it to break down 2 days after I purchased it but I brought it back and spoke to a person named Chris who handles those types of situations. He told me at 8:30 am that they would pull it into the shop and let me know what they found. Having not heard anything I called back that after noon and was told that the shop was unexpectedly busy and they had not got to pull it in yet but was preparing too and I should hear something back shortly. I went to bed that night having not heard anything and the next day around 3 P.M. I called and was told still yet that it had not even been looked at yet. I then contacted the highest person I could find which was Chris the used car manager. He along with my salesman Frank Love assured me they would look in to it and to be honest I would give the place a 5 star if based on their work alone. If you do purchase I would strongly recommend Frank or Chris as they are truly devoted to the job. The next morning I was curious as to how things were coming since I had not heard any updates and was told that they had found another thing wrong with the car and was waiting on parts. Now to be honest and in all fairness I am understanding of the whole Fiasco with covid and all causing shortages in more then one field so that is no where near the reason I was upset with their service. All I wanted was to be kept up to date and I only knew about things going on because I called and was told at that time where we stood. I was not called when they could not get the car in nor was I called when they found the catalytic converter needed replaced. Now here is where I do give credit where it is strongly due. Chris (New car manager) worked hard and worked with Frank to get things right. Even Derek the general manager was involved slightly. They took over the situation and kept me in the loop and helped in smaller ways to get things working and they were amazing. If i was reviewing the service department based on communication alone Id give one star but the reason I chose 4 stars is because once they had the parts in they took care of the car and it runs much better. I also give credit to Chris the car manager and Frank Love because they never made attempts to excuse the incident nor did they try to falsely represent their intentions. Both were very polite and to the point and did everything they could within their power to make this right. So all in all I would say that people are only human and the communication could definitely use some improvement but I will definitely consider buying a car from there so long as Frank is around and would recommend him to anyone wanting to buy a car. Though I was upset Id recommend just speaking to these guys when things go wrong and give them a chance. I cant speak for everyone at the dealership but I can definitely speak for Frank and Chris and say that in the end they showed they were not just in it for the sale. They showed that they would in fact go the extra mile and work with you. More
