Returned lease. I came in with a 2013 Elantra, to turn it in and see what my options were. I was trying to get my payments either the same or lower. The guy I talked I came in with a 2013 Elantra, to turn it in and see what my options were. I was trying to get my payments either the same or lower. The guy I talked to (I think his name was Mike- tattoos, football stories) told me he could get me into a 2016 Elantra for less money than I was paying. Sounded good but I didn't find out until I was signing stuff that it was for 5000 less miles a year than my previous car. Miles which I drive. Even getting the agreement down 3000 miles less than the previous lease actually made my monthly payment HIGHER. This type of omission of info is not cool even if it's considered standard in the car dealership business. Also, I inquired with the younger guy (Jeff? Not sure,) about maybe checking out an Accent, but he just said the monthly payments would possibly be more expensive, which just sounds like a lie since the car literally costs less. I was dealing with a lot of stress in my life at the time and didn't have the patience or energy to call these guys out on their suspect behavior. If this is normal for your dealership I will probably avoid it in the future. I didn't rate too low because I understand they're just trying to do their job, but I still felt like they were trying too hard to be fake friendly with me instead of being straight up with the facts. Not sure if I'll be dealing with this company again in the future now. Omission of relevant information just to get the sale is disgusting. More
