I had the same feeling when I was on my way to Southpoint Hyundai, but from the time I got there to the time I signed the papers, there was no stress. Shawn Hamze is a top-notch salesman. I not talking about a salesman that is great for the dealership. I think he is a great salesman for the customer. It is usually the other way around. Finance man. threw away my cancellation for my ext. warranty This review is for my not brief enough experience on getting my extended warranty canceled and refunded as I had traded in my Hyundai at Austin Infini This review is for my not brief enough experience on getting my extended warranty canceled and refunded as I had traded in my Hyundai at Austin Infiniti. I had called ahead of time and asked what paper work I needed to bring in and was told just the odometer reading and the extended warranty policy (it had to be mailed/faxed to the warranty company). Given I had paid off the car years ago I was told no further paperwork would be needed. I get there and had to wait about 30 minutes for a finance person (Riley Stevens) to be available. When I finally get to talk to Riley I am informed if I want the check to come directly to me and not take 2 -3 months he needs a release of lien letter or a copy or picutre of the title of the trade in. He would not accept any paperwork Austin Infiniti had filled out including state documents showing nothing was owed on the trade. And he falsely claimed he could not call up the loadn holder to check on it himself, which that absurdity was compounded by the fact that Hyundai had set up the financing with that loan holder to begin with. He tried to act like what little he was doing was out of the "grace of his heart". He was also complaining that he was the only finance person in at the time and had better things to do. When I put him on the phone with my wife, who had 10 years experience in the auto insurance industry he was belligerent to her, did not admit what he was saying was a bunch of lies, and didn't want to be bothered in doing his job the proper way for me. He also informed me he did not need my copy of the extended warranty policy and quickly took a copy of the odometer reading and suppossedly filed the cancellation. I called the warranty company a week and a half later and they had not received any such cancellation. I have cancelled extended warranty policies on Ford and Volkswagen prior after trading in at a different dealership with no problems what so ever and not had any of them throw down this gauntlet of proof of pay-off. Riley Stevens treated me horribly, purposefully did not do his job at all, let alone the more porper job, and is a liar. This experience alone is enough for me to never set foot in South Point Hyundai ever again. More

Good overall car buying experience. As always when buying a car, the paperwork seemed to take too long. The price was in question, but not sure if that was me o car buying experience.
