Took my sons 2017 Grand Cherokee in to have it checked because both low beam headlights were out. When I went back to check on the truck I was told that the light sockets were corroded and that I would h because both low beam headlights were out. When I went back to check on the truck I was told that the light sockets were corroded and that I would have to buy 2 new headlights totalling $2,400. I knew that this was xx!. I paid 175.00 for the diagnostic and left. Took it to another shop the next day had it repaired for $50.00! The only thing wrong was the bulbs were blown! This is the second and last time of going there for service!! More
South Oak recommends costly unnecessary services. Brought my Jeep in for 30k service. Attendant recommended Fuel/Air Induction Service for approximately $200. I learned later that this service is not listed in the manual, recommended by MOPAR, or listed on South Oak's site as being required. I have one oil change that I paid for remaining and will not return for service or a new vehicle. More
Very poor service don’t communicate to the customer about their vehicle who ever this Jarrett is a liar he told me my vehicle was being worked on this was July 13 told me he would call me the following Tuesd their vehicle who ever this Jarrett is a liar he told me my vehicle was being worked on this was July 13 told me he would call me the following Tuesday july18 with a update about my vehicle well he never did so I gave it a couple more days trying not to rush the job called so called Friday and they kept playing phone tag at this point I’m on 10 went up there July 25 and was informed that they had put my vehicle back together and had never did the job now here come the service manager Mark who was clueless to the situation he running around trying to find out what happened still don’t know so now a new tech is working on my vehicle they are so full of crap up there I’m thinking about purchasing a new vehicle but I wouldn’t give them the time of day let alone my money this place sucks More

Made appointment for a squeak and to update my apple car play system. Pulled into service greeter area where I was immediately approached by a young man Eric service advisor, he was friendly and knowledgeable, we talked, he documented the areas of concern I had, and throughout the process in the spotless clean waiting room (Where they played movies on a big television screen), he kept me informed at least 4 times,explaining what was happening. Oh did I also say that this is the only dealership that gives you the new vehicle purchaser a 20 year 200,000 mile power-train warranty at no charge with every new vehicle now that is above any dealership anywhere! Got the Jeep back, and the carplay would not hook up,as they updated my carplay system, this is where a smart intelligent computer savvy girl named Jessica came in and told me my phone needed to be updated to match the Uconnect Jeep update,she did that and now it works perfectly. I live near Midway airport and pass 5 dealers that sell this make, they made the best fair deal, and its well worth the trip for service, try them you will not regret it!! More
This place is a joke. I had an extended warranty on my dash pad and Jeep called South Oak while I was on the line and told them this warranty has been extended due to covid. The service advisor insisted it was expired even though Jeep assured him it has been extended. An appointment was finally set up for South Oak to take pictures and email to Jeep. They took the pictures but refused to email them. I ended up going out of my way to Pearl Dodge where the warranty was handled professionally. Now I brought my Jeep in to South Oak for an oil change after which I had an oil leak. I brought it back and they said they need to write me a quote for replacing the oil filter housing adapter. I said no, there was no leak before the oil change you need to replace what you broke. I was told this is a common problem and no fault of theirs. In doing some research I found that the housing is to be tightened to 18.4 ft lbs and over tightening may crack the housing adapter. South Oak has been the only one to change my oil in the past 3-4 years. I feel it is their fault and they need to fix it. More

Bought a brand new 2020 Dodge challenger scat in May. The check engine and gas light come on July 20th. We set the appointment with service on July 24th.
