Found and purchase The Good: Tay was very helpful, friendly, courteous and willing to go the extra mile. Chris was helpful but some what reluctant. Found and purchased a car that fit my son's requirements. The Bad: This car had just over 80,000 miles on it and knowing that routine maintenance requires that the timing belt be replaced at 60,000 miles, I asked the Service Manager Octavio if he would check the Kia service records for me to see if the timing belt had ever been replaced at a Kia dealer. He said he couldn't enter the VIN to access any Kia service records from any other Kia dealer because they are not interlinked. This is just not true. All the dealers are linked for service and warranty purposes. I certainly wouldn't expect Kia to have records of any service or repairs made at facilities other than their own, but how could a Kia dealer other than the original selling dealer perform any out of town warranty repairs without having access to records of the in service date, previous dealer service, warranty repairs and mileage logged at the time of such services performed? Please!!! No after sales OEM service will be performed at this location for me in the future. The Ugly: This vehicle was not being financed so I decided to put a 500 dollar deposit down and come back the following Saturday with a cashiers check for the balance in full and pick up the car and 2 extra keys. A simple transaction I thought, until it came time to sign some paperwork. Some management folks (I don't recall their names) come with the paperwork and say sign here, here, here and initial this etc. I'm reading and signing this document and one of the lines for me to sign states "Customer has read and understands paragraph H." Well I hadn't read and therefore could not have possibly understood paragraph H. So I turned the form over and began to read paragraph H which was dealing with arbitration and dispute resolution. One of the management guys says "It's a standard form, more to protect you than us." and "just sign it where you see the Xs." At this point I said "Well...this may be a standard form for you, but I don't do this everyday and I think that I should be allowed to read any or all of this before I sign anything if I so choose." With that said, they let me continue to go over the document. Then all of a sudden the boss storms over from across the floor and states with a raised voice that he doesn't like my attitude. Shocked, I look him in the eye and say "You don't like MY attitude?" He says "That's right!" Then I said to him "So what's this?... Your document states that by signing here that I am saying that I have read and understand paragraph H. Do you not think that I should be allowed to read and understand paragraph H as stated?" I was ready to walk away. With that said he leaves and stands outside of the front door until my son and I leave. Conclusion: If I hadn't already given them the deposit, I probably would have left right then and there and never come back. However, I bit my tongue and completed the deal because I didn't think that it would be fair to my son who needed the car, or even to Tay, the salesman that had put in so much effort and was so helpful all along. I asked one of the employees for the boss's name and they said his name is Domingo. I find it hard to believe that someone so rude would be in charge of any sales team. But what do I know? I remember the days when the customer was always right. I remember when you pulled in to get gas that they filled it up for you, checked your oil, cleaned your windshield AND gave you a receipt, all for the price of the gas. I will also remember that this dealership will never again be considered if anyone in my family decides to buy another new or used Kia. We shall go elsewhere. Oh...and we're still waiting on the 2 extra keys that were part of the agreement. It seems that every time we call, we sit on terminal hold or they tell us that they will call back and never do. Funny, the recorded message that you hear over and over while sitting on hold boasts of their efforts for customer satisfaction! More
I think if nothing is stated, nothing will be done to correct the issue. With that said, please consider this review my personal experience at Kia. The good : I came to this location knowing my cre correct the issue. With that said, please consider this review my personal experience at Kia. The good : I came to this location knowing my credit score and with cash in my pocket ready to buy. Spoke with a representative beforehand who told me they did indeed have the car I was looking for in stock, and to come by to take a look. Upon arrival, we sat down, spoke a bit about the vehicle (they had 1 in stock) and he showed me the model and some of its features. Unfortunately this is when it takes a turn for the worse... The bad : Either made it seem like he was not knowledgeable about the vehicle he was selling me, or I (who do NOT sell cars for a living) happened to know more in my half hour of research of the vehicle than he did. Even with a printout of what I was looking for, I was told the combination of options available from the web printout I had was not available for the model I was looking for. Regardless, I offered my credit score and requested they not run my personal info (after repeated requests for my Social) just for an estimated payment...which only prompted them to quote me out of the ballpark. Oh, and because they felt I had a 'comparable' current vehicle to the one they were trying to sell me, they said theyd 'discount' the payments to another (ridiculous) amount. to this day I am baffled at how they came up with that. Sadly, I left here completely discouraged and never considered the vehicle again. The price as well as the willingness to work with clients placed them on the "Do Not Call" list for my consideration of a future vehicle. If I ever end up considering a Kia again, I will most certainly not visit this location. Want a quality Korean car with the service to match? Check Hyundai. 3 different dealers : 3 great experiences! After less than a week from my Kia visit, I ended up leasing a 2011 Sonata that had everything I looked for in the comparable Optima (and MORE) for an amazing price. Regardless if the price would have been a bit more, I would have opted for it due to the great service they gave myself and my girlfriend from the moment we walked in to the moment we drove out in our new car. Sorry Kia, you missed out on a client who was ready to deal on your best model Optima! More
I had my 2006 Kia Optima service there for the 30000 mile service. When another KIA dealership serviced my car for scheduled service they call me over to look at the transmission oil and told me it needed to service. When another KIA dealership serviced my car for scheduled service they call me over to look at the transmission oil and told me it needed to be serviced because the fluid was very black. I told how could that be I just had a 30000 mile service done where they are suppose to change the filter and fluid. The service department call Kendall Kia service department and asked did they change the fluid in the transmission and they said they did but did not drain the torque coverter which holds 5 of the 15 quarts of fluid this model holds. This means Kendall Kia added 66 percent new fluid to 33 percent dirty fluid. What kind of service is that. Would you add 66 percent clean water to 33 percent dirty water and drink it. No I do not think so. This dealership does the bare minimum and overcharges for their shady work. I would never recommend this dealership. More
