We bought our car from this dealership in January and have regretted it ever since. Only given one key and were not told about it until after purchase (saw they did this to someone else also). Car was probably in accident but was not on the Carfax report. Seatbelt in the backseat had been partially reinstalled upside down. The exterior mirrors don't work properly when using the preferred driver settings. The wire harness to the backup park assist had been cut but didn't find that out until later. They "fixed" it but it is not working again. The paneling on the front bumper is coimng off. Alignment has been a continual problem. My advice is to stay clear of this dealership. More
Just so you know before I say my story is that I read 30 different reviews and post before visiting this dealer. I recently traded my Jeep Cherokee in for a Jeep Commander. They did not mail the pay off pay different reviews and post before visiting this dealer. I recently traded my Jeep Cherokee in for a Jeep Commander. They did not mail the pay off payment in time. They waited more then 3 weeks which caused my previous financed car loan to show late payments on my credit. I contacted Sam "Head of Finance" over 10 times and was fed the same run around "it takes time". Well I found out he actually did not respond or even try to help the situation he caused. I finally spoke with the manger at Wells Fargo and she told me there is nothing they can do cause South Coast Auto Zone forgot to send my payment for 3 weeks!!!!!!!!! So I Highly Highly recommend staying far away from South Coast Auto Zone. They credit score by almost 50 points!! I have now brought in a lawyer to get this situation handled. One thing I can say was the sales person Brad was a very helpful and pleasant person to work. I WOULD STAY AWAY FROM SOUTH COAST AUTO ZONE !!!! More

I must say from start to finish it was a great experience. We were looking for a new car but fell in love with an older model that looked and drove good as new. I recieved an excellent warranty and worked out a deal for new tires and they came through within 5 days of my purchase. As a center manage of an auto repair facility, I am always a critic when it comes to other dealerships and repair centers. South Coast Car Zone is a class act and I would recommend Them to anyone that is looking for a great car with a competitive price and excellent warranty. -Eddie Vargas PS. I wanted to add a note since South Coast has since addressed my issue. 3 weeks after I posted this review Dave called me and said to bring my car in as they would fix the AC. We purchased a pre-owned Volvo SUV in April '10. The sales experience was good, but my experience after has been questionable. I realized soon after driving off the lot that my AC does not work. I called and spoke to David and asked if they would fix the AC for me; he said he would speak to his manager and call me back the next day. 3 days later I called again and spoke to Brad, who was my original sales person. I told him that I had not received a phone call back and I just wanted my AC fixed. He promised to speak to his manager (!) and call me back; he also said that he could make no promises on the repair...no call back. Obviously this place only cares about the customer PRIOR to the sale. I recommended this dealership to several of my friends, but will no longer speak highly of them. More
I have to revise my previous review because the owner has since taken care of us by buying us a key card (400 bucks) and getting us a tank of gas. I would not recommend this dealership for 2 reasons: bad service and deceptive sales. First, we signed contract and then were only given one key. The car has keyless ignition, so a replacement key card service and deceptive sales. First, we signed contract and then were only given one key. The car has keyless ignition, so a replacement key card would run almost $400. They refused to get us a key or even disclose this information prior to the signing of the contract. Have to think there is something illegal about that, but when you sign off on the car "as is" you are really stuck. That is deceptive in my book and had I known about the $400 card ahead of time, would have asked them to negotiate on price...which is why they didn't mention the missing key in the first place, now isn't it!!!!!!! Secondly, my pregnant wife drove off on an empty tank of gas. Not only did they not fill the tank as most dealerships do, but the tank was literally dry. When I called about it that evening, I was told by the manager that they don't fill up the gas tank. He just didn't seem to care that my wife drove off in the new car. Now I know people make mistakes and perhaps they just forgot about putting ANY gas in the tank; it was an oversight, but the reaction to my phone call was proof that they didn't give a care at all. Once I signed that contract, customer service was out the window. Bottom line: give your business to a merchant who appreciate it. More
