We talked to Jacques and he seem pretty nice and we like him a lot but the dealership doesnt have a car i want so he asked me to come inside to put information down and he will call me if he have a car in a next few day. While he putting my information down. The computer have already have a record of me( because i contact them thru online website earier) so George Ledesma walked in and handle my case i guess cause he have record of my quote request online. We made a deal pretty quick.... in 20 mins. and i was very happy at that time. eventho i paid $500 more than another dealership offered but George will able to get me a car in 2-3 hours. but we have never get a car. After an hour pass he told us we could leave and he will contact us later when the car arrived.We paid $1000 to confirm that we will get the car later that day and I did mention him that my husband will be out of town for his business trip later tonight and wont be back till the end of the month. i made it clear but HE NEVER LET US KNOW. we called him, emailed him but he never responsed. He supposed to let us know and we wouldnt mind at all if he just pick up the phone and call us and let us know the update so we didnt wait for him. We wanted to get the paper done and dont want to leave it like that for weeks. So my husband delay his trip because he want the paper to be done before he leave town but WE HAVE NEVER HEARD BACK FROM GEORGE. Next day i called him and emailed him and we never heard back from him. Later Afternoon My husband have to called Jacques and he gave the phone to George. ( We will never able to get a hold with George if Jacques not help) Overall we happy with Jacques but not George. George handle our case and he should treat us better. we are going to buy a car worth over $26,000. Its all about communication and George did handle thing poorly. Once husband spoke to George ( HE NEVER APOLOGY) he said oh i said monday. seriously??? i do not like it at all. you could say anything but do not lied please!!! he never once told us monday!!! Otherwise we wont wait and my husband woulnt be in town on monday!!. Anyway he cant find the car that we made a deal with so he sent us a new price quote of 3 different car. First one less accesories and $500 cheaper 2-3) he said slightly more money. Uhhhh dahhh!!! for alll this inconvenient you want to get me slightly more money? how about start with sorry? I have other dealer offer me $500 cheaper but i have to wait a few days. so i made a deal with george with $500 more cause i want the car on that same day and dont have to wait. my husband delay his trip and lost 2 night of hilton hotel that he have book in advance for week . he wait to get this thing done or at lease know it ok to leave town without communication with George. WE ARE VERY DISAPPOINT and we have asked south bay manager to contact us but i have never heard anything back. i guess this is how they do business. i should not go there. waste my time and make me really disappoint. They have been so nice until we made a deal. Before i wrote this review. i have been try to think positive and give George a chance cause he was so good at first. But he kept continue let us down and it didnt take long to call customer and let them know whats going on. Push me into the edge when he quote more money instead to talk to his boss and try to get us better deal or at lease the same for all this inconvienient. My husband just bought New cadilac. and he had to wait for car also. Cadillac dealership keep my husband post 1-2/day and never keep us in the dark like this. This is what the different of how they treat customer. IT HAS BEEN FEW DAYS NOW AND WE ARE ALREADY BREAK CONTACT AND HAVE BEEN ASK MANAGER TO CALL US BUT HE NEVER DID!!!! TERRIBLE SERVICE. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!!! BUY FROM HERE IS YOU WANT A GREAT TAKE CARE AS A BUYER BUT SOON AFTER YOU BOUGHT, YOU WILL NEVER RECIEVE THE SAME TREAT. AND DO NOT THINK THAT THEIR MANAGER WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU. NO NO NO - WONT HAPPENED. More
I just bought my first car at South Bay Mini and worked with Tyler Lappen. We worked mostly online which was great since I have a very consuming job and I also live in Santa Barbara. I never felt pressured or overwhelmed; Tyler was respectful of my wishes and didn’t try to sell me something that I didn’t want. He answered all of my million questions with a smile, even on his day off. I am extremely happy with my car and the deal I made. Tyler even made me a mixed CD with my favorite music, I was grinning from ear to ear as I was driving my baby home!! If you go to South Bay MINI, please ask for George Ledesma. He sold me my MINI and it was so refreshing to have a car salesman be upfront and honest with you and not try to sell you something you are not comfortable buying. George stayed late on a Saturday night to make sure all of the paperwork and everything else was settled so I could drive off the lot with my MINI. Since the purchase last September, I have contacted George and he has been very responsive answering my questions and making sure I am happy with the used MINI I bought. I would highly recommend him and South Bay MINI in general - they are really genuine people who go out of their way to provide you with the best customer service possible. More

A bit further that I'm used to, but it seems MINI dealers are few and far between. Like I've told my friends, this place is the spot if you're looking for a MINI. I'm pretty independent and like to look around without being bothered, I heard enough about the cars online and at other dealers. So when I found the car I wanted I called out. A kind gentleman, Mr. Yang, was more than eager to help. The sun was hot and I had been driving all over the westside so I was in no mood for BS. Mr. Yang understood and was very polite. I was given cold water and snacks. I discussed my terms and we shook hands and an hour and a half later I was cruising with the windows rolled down huffing that delicious new car smell. YUM! More
