Thought I would give this dealer a try after poor experiences with Cerritos Lexus and Longo Lexus. Was happy I did. Brought in my SC430 for 30,000 mile service. Was quoted $640, but when I went to experiences with Cerritos Lexus and Longo Lexus. Was happy I did. Brought in my SC430 for 30,000 mile service. Was quoted $640, but when I went to pick it up, they had a charge for $745, without anything new. Turns out the quote was based on old labor rates. They made good on the original quote. Also, bought a pair of wiper blades from the parts department and tried installing them myself at the service center (forgot to ask to have them installed prior.) When my sales person say me struggling with the blades, he came by to put them on for me. Very happy with the service. More

I bought a SC430 from South Bay Lexus in 2003 and still have serviced my car through them since. The staff is very courteous and prompt. The salesman was very respectful and considerate. I always go to a dealership in jeans and a t-shirt no matter how much I am going to spend on a car. This way I can weed out the rude salemen who will only give you good service if they think they will make a lot of money off of you. Everyone should be treated with dignity and respect regardless of how much money they are willing to spend on a car whether it is new or used. I found this to be true at South Bay Lexus. I had the opposite experience at Mercedez of South Bay after we had an issue with a used car that needed to be addressed (see my posting for Mercedes of South Bay for details). I have never had any problems with the South Bay Lexus staff in over 4 years. All work is done on time and at the estimated cost. They are always courteous and go out of their way to accomadate. I would highly recommend this dealership. More

I was given complete freedom to explore both the new and used inventory. A courteous salesman stood off and didn't approach until I indicated I needed help. He turned out to be highly knowledgeable and willing to work with me. I ended up purchasing a preowned ES300 which was in imaculate condition. I don't think there is any car on the lot which was not in near perfect condition. You literally can't make a mistake. All of the preowned inventory has been carefully screened by several departments before it ever reaches the sales floor. This is a trully great dealership. More

Under no circumstances would I recommend South Bay Lexus as this is the second time I have scheduled routine service one week in advance, only to have them not perform service in a timely manner, and let my as this is the second time I have scheduled routine service one week in advance, only to have them not perform service in a timely manner, and let my vehicle sit in the service area for several hours, without any work being done. After several calls to managers and service technicians with promises of a return calls, messages were not given to managers, calls were not returned and they took no responsbility for inconvenience, annoyance and poor service. Do yourself a a favor and SKIP THIS DEALERSHIP ALL TOGETHER!!! Total disregard for customer service. Go elsewhere. More
