Listen I don't want to write some long email bashing my experience. It was mediocre, but nothing inherently wrong. To summarize, I had a 8:00am appointment. When you pull up to the service lane, there's no experience. It was mediocre, but nothing inherently wrong. To summarize, I had a 8:00am appointment. When you pull up to the service lane, there's no signs that say "Wait in your car, don't come in, we'll come to you, etc." I arrive at 7:50am and walk inside. No friendly hello just "We open at 8:00am please wait outside." Ok - fair. I walk back out to wait in my car. 8:00am rolls around, I walk back inside, "We'll come to you, sir." Ok... I'm not trying to bother anyone, but why? I'm literally going to walk into your building and wait for 2 hours. What's the obsession with me being in my car? I didn't say anything though and walked back outside. A few minutes lady a red-headed lady walked up to me, no introduction just "What's your name? What brings you in today." Ok listen, you're not the service tech. Your only job is interactions in a customer-facing scenario. So my petty as says, "Hi, good morning, how are you?" and waited for her to reply. She got the hint, said hello, and I told her I had an 8:00am appointment. She asked my mileage and if there was anything to note, so I reiterated what I mentioned once when I made the appointment and again when I followed up the day before to confirm my appointment: "My car is making a noise under the hood near the driver tire well, like rubber hitting the underside. I've tried to locate a loose cable or something with slack, but couldn't identify the sound. It only occurs on the interstate doing above 70. I ask the Hyundai dealership to take a look at it at my last service visit 7,000 miles ago and they said they forgot, so I want to be sure it's taken care of this time." Her immediate reply: "We don't do diagnoses on the weekends." What..? During my previous 2 conversations with booking this visit and confirming it, my mentioning this exact concern was not met by any "we don't do that on weekends" excuse. So in summary, I just had a crappy interaction with someone who didn't have much sense of how to be polite and then not really a solutions-oriented person when I brought up a single concern and expressed it had been ignored at my last visit. I replied, "Okay I mean if someone could just drive it on the interstate for 1 mile they'll hear what it is" And she said she'd tried to get them and then went to walk inside. I was standing outside my car and said aloud a bit confused, "Ok... is that it, do I just wait here or..." and she comes halfway back out the door "OH, you can come inside" and when I walked in she just pointed: "You can wait over there at the chairs." And that was my whole interaction. Later while waiting, I noticed some reps just had their xxxx together a lot more, one guy even walking in a lady and showing her where the coffees and snacks were. I didn't *need* that treatment at all, I'm 32 and not trying to be a Karen. All I'm saying is the experience was mediocre and that redhead lady and the bald dude both didn't seem to wanna be there at all, and maybe the service lane could benefit from some instructional signage to minimize the grumpyness of select employees. More
