Terrible experience from start to finish I went in to purchase a car on 07/09/18 from Big Red Sports. I waited for ages to even speak with a salesman. I spent about 8 hours at the dealership. I went in to purchase a car on 07/09/18 from Big Red Sports. I waited for ages to even speak with a salesman. I spent about 8 hours at the dealership. Delivery took forever, because the individuals washing the new car and preparing it for delivery decided it would be more fun to toss a football around. They didn't even deliver the car, or show me any features. They just handed me the keys and said bye. After the sale, there was a funding issue, and the lender denied the deal. The dealership contacted me, accusing me of lying about the information on the application. That was not the case, as I provided the information I had at the time. The dealership requested me to return the vehicle to them. I asked if they could give me a couple of days to contact the lender to straighten things out, which the person I was communicating with agreed to. Apparently he did not relay that information, or the situation at all to other involved parties, and the new vehicle was recovered from my home. In the mean time I was bounced back and forth between the dealer and the lender, nobody providing any assistance or offering a good avenue to find a solution. I called the dealership to inquire if there was a way to get my traded car returned to me, and they promised that they would get it returned right away, as I had no way of getting to the dealership since the new vehicle was recovered. I still have not received my old car. They are telling me that if I want my old car, to come get it. I have no way to get there, outside of spending a hefty amount of money for an uber ride. My most recent call to them I was placed on "hold". However, instead, they muted the phone and proceeded to mock my situation, saying "Yeah, he wants his car TODAY, like some 7 year old. He can just come get it". They then hung up on me. I have tried calling several other times, but they keep transferring me to people who just transfer me back, or they hang up on me, or put me on hold for significant amounts of time, or just ignore my call altogether. I have purchased many vehicles before, and this has hands down been the most frustrating and terrible sales experience of my life. I've never complained about a dealer before. The problem is not the funding, or the fact that they wanted the car back. The real issue here is how I have been treated, not only as a customer, but as a person. I have filed complaints with KIA and with the Better Business Bureau as well. I want people to know about this experience. More
Service I was scheduled for a full detail a week after I purchased my car. Only 1 issue. Was unable to get financing for the vehicle we wanted. Finance tried to step us in to another vehicle (newer w/ less miles). However, upon driving it Was unable to get financing for the vehicle we wanted. Finance tried to step us in to another vehicle (newer w/ less miles). However, upon driving it I noticed (I grew up with a mechanic father so I know the things to look for) that the brake rotors were warped (vibrated the pedal and the steering wheel), got up to interstate speed and the steering wheel began to shimmy slightly left and right (possible out of balance tire or poor tread wear), finally, upon return to the lot, I noticed a slight smell of burning oil. Upon lifting the hood, I could see an oil leak along the line where the head meets the block (possible head gasket issue or intake manifold. I then decided to look underneath the vehicle and noticed severe oil residue starting at the front crossmember all the way back to the rear end housing. The sales person, went and got the sales manager (I believe that is his title) and he looked under it and tried to say the oil was only because the vehicle had not been cleaned and serviced. Passed on that vehicle, but did get a brand new Kia Forte instead. Many thanks to Billye. More
