This was our first time looking at Subarus, and it was also our first time visiting this dealership. We were favorably impressed by Brian's low-key, no pressure approach. He listened to us when we described our reason for looking for a new car, and he answered our questions thoughtfully and thoroughly. We test drove the Outback, and though we loved the luxury features, the headroom and visibility weren't as good as I'd hoped. We happened to walk past some 2010 Foresters in the lot, and I was curious-- and Brian asked if we wanted to test drive one. We ended up test driving the Forester and liked it but were concerned about the four speed transmission (b/c we've had cars with 5 speed transmissions in the past) -- I thought perhaps it would not be powerful enough. Brian fielded my questions candidly and capably -- he pointed out that the four speed in the Forester was time-tested and reliable, and that answer just seemed to click with me. And he let the car speak for itself when we took it on the test drive. We did some more online research and came back a few days later, test drove the Forester again, and ended up buying it. He was absolutely right. Throughout the whole process, Brian was actively listening, answering our questions with knowledge and patience, and being very supportive with respect to the test drives, our research process, and our questions about the features and options. He really knows Subarus, he is sincerely confident in the brand, and he's able to explain what he knows in a way that is appropriate for the particular buyer (we're not technical car fanatics, but we know and value performance). Closing the deal was smooth and easy. I'd gotten a quote from another dealer -- a dealer closer to home with whom I'd done business in the past -- and I told Brian about it. He said he'd see what he could do and got back to me in a timely manner. At the same time, my wife and I had been talking about what a nice experience we'd had both times we visited Sommer's -- I think we were both braced for a high-pressure sales pitch while new-car shopping, so we were both relieved and really pleasantly impressed by our visits to Sommers. It turned out to be a casual and even fun experience. Brian had spent a lot of time with us while we were deciding on a car, and we decided he was such a nice guy that we were ultimately going to buy a car from Brian if he could come anywhere close to the competing offer. And he did. That probably sounds kind of odd, but when you're spending a lot of money on a new car, you really feel like the dealer should be listening to you and making the process pleasant and making you feel confident that you're making a well-informed choice, all of which which Brian did. He just struck me as low-key and trustworthy and friendly and sincere, and if I'm going to venture into buying a brand I've never tried before, this is the kind of person I want to be talking to. In fact, one thing that led us to consider Subarus in the first place is that a lot of our neighbors have them, so when you meet a dealer who treats you like a neighbor as well, it clicks. Finding out that Sommers is one of the oldest Subaru dealers in the area is the icing on the cake -- it really gives us confidence in our choice. When our car came in, Brian checked and rechecked to make sure we got all the accessories we ordered and made sure everything was right and ready to go. After we signed the paperwork, Brian took the time to walk us through the features and the owners manual -- this is something I've never really had done when buying a car before. It turned out to be tremendously helpful and really solidified our satisfaction with the Forester. He even walked me through synching my iphone with the Forester music and phone equipment, which was terrific. Afterwards, he showed us the service department and talked to us a bit about that. That's another thing I haven't had happen before at a dealership. We've decided we're going to have Sommers do our maintenance as well. More
In addition to getting a fabulous vehicle at a great price, I was very moved by the lengths to which the financial manager went to get financing for me. I had a recent bankruptcy and was expecting to b price, I was very moved by the lengths to which the financial manager went to get financing for me. I had a recent bankruptcy and was expecting to be offered an interest rate somewhere north of 20%. I was stunned to learn that Subaru financed my loan themselves, at a rate well into the single digits. I still can't believe my good fortune in finding a dealer with a heart of gold. More
I was looking for an all wheel drive vehicle especially for winter driving. I contacted the internet site and Andrea Gehring contacted me and gave me the information on the safety ratings and the great st for winter driving. I came in and dealt with Aaron who was pleasant and helped me find the used Outback that I have today. Both Andrea and Aaron were extremely pleasant to deal with and this is the first dealership where I did not feel any pressure to buy! I have also dealt with the service department and couldn't be happier. When I pick up my car it is always washed and very clean. I can't tell you how much I love my Subaru! "Share the Love", really says it all!!! More

Had all the answers for every question we asked, no sales pressure what so ever, and even took the time to place markers in our owners manual for ease of use - it is a significantly sized manual so those markers are very helpful indeed. We had driven the Outback, and he suggested we needed to give the Forester with the Turbo a test drive. We did, loved it and bought it. He saved us from the Rogue! My wife and both still enjoy driving the Forester, especially with the zip it has with the Turbo! More

We were researching reliability of autos in Consumer Reports Magazine and found that Subaru was rated very favorably when it came to overall owner satisfaction.I went to one Subaru Dealership close to w Reports Magazine and found that Subaru was rated very favorably when it came to overall owner satisfaction.I went to one Subaru Dealership close to where I lived and was apprroached by a salesperson who said they had a very limited supply of used Subarus available and asked if I might consider a new vehicle.I was provided with information and we exchanged personal info.I went back to do more research with consumer reports at which time I was provided with the Sommers Dealership Info and also a price quote.I received an Email from Sommers a short time later with the name of a salesperson to contact.I had dealt with Sommers on prior occasions for service on another vehicle and was very sattified with the attention and honesty they provided.At the dealership we met our sasles person Brian Fogarty and found him to be very knowledgable about the Subaru and was also very courteaous and explained why purchasing a new Subaru might be a better value for us than buying a used vehicle.This was done in a very profesional manner and without us feeling we were being preasured into purchasing a new vehicle.Brian quoted us a price for a new Subaru and it was the same fair price we were quoted by our online quote and also by Consumer Reports.I feel we were treated very respectfully and honestly and would highly recommend Brian and the whole Sommers staff to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle More
