To say I’m disappointed with this dealership would be an UNDERSTATEMENT. My husband and I went to Somersworth Nissan just about a month ago to trade in and get a new vehicle. The reason we came here was bec UNDERSTATEMENT. My husband and I went to Somersworth Nissan just about a month ago to trade in and get a new vehicle. The reason we came here was because my husband had purchased his last vehicle from here and said that he had nothing but a great experience but this time was the complete opposite. I had previously purchased a vehicle from a different dealership and had a terrible experience so when my husband vouched for this place I had high hopes. But let me explain where the disappointment comes from. We traded in a perfectly good, working vehicle just to be sold a car with nothing but issue after issue. We brought our new car back into the dealership just three days after we purchased it to find out why every safety feature that was supposed to come with the car wasn’t working and to have the brakes looked at because the entire car shook as we would brake. They told us the brakes were technically fine although the shake may be annoying it wasn’t a safety concern, and as for the safety features the car was suppose to have, we were to take it to Volvo in Exeter (an hour from where we live) to have THEM take a look at it as their computer systems at Somersworth Nissan don’t compute with the Volvo computer system. After taking the car to Exeter we were told that the part to fix the car would cost us just over $2,000 to fix. After being told initially that they (Somersworth Nissan) would make it right and take care of it, then told us that they wouldn’t cover the cost of the service and part to be fixed as it’s “not needed to pass inspection” while this information wasn’t disclosed to us during the buying portion of this vehicle. After being told initially that they would “make this right” to then saying they will cover HALF of the cost to then say they won’t cover it at all!? Absolutely despicable. Their solution? Cover the breaks because “we’ve been so patient with them through this whole process”. Not because it’s the right thing to do because admitting that would be admitting fault on their end and that wouldn’t look good for them. Fast forward to this past Monday, July 29th, 2024. As I’m leaving work, on the highway traveling at 65 mph in the pouring rain, the cars check engine light not only comes on but it is FLASHING warning me of a serious issue. Then the “reduced engine system light comes on. The car is now puttering, slowing down as I’m trying to accelerate to keep up with the flow of traffic to avoid causing a potential fatal accident. An absolute terrifying experience in any vehicle I have ever been in, in my whole life. As a mother of 3, pregnant with our 4th on the way, this could’ve been my worst nightmare come true if my children had been in the car and I wasn’t able to make my way off of the highway. I have a code reader and I checked to see the code that popped up and it said “cylinder misfire” they had said at the shop that it should be an easy fix and shouldn’t take long. We were then told after they started working on it that they had to replace the spark plug FOUR different times and the code kept returning. They then said it needed two new ignition coils. They replaced them and the issue was still not fixed. It was the end of the day at this point and they said it would be looked at again the following morning (today July 31st, 2024) where we were told “there is nothing more we can do for the car” and that it will need to be brought to Volvo in Exeter AGAIN to be looked at. They said “it will make it to Exeter but we can’t guarantee it won’t give you issues along the way”. This all happened 31, THIRTY ONE, days after purchasing. ONE DAY after our 30 day warranty expired and they say there is nothing they can do for us. The way they are conducting themselves at this dealership, as managers of this establishment, is absolutely horrendous. More
I would recommend the service dept. but not the sales. I inquired about purchasing a used Rouge. I wasn’t sure I could get financing. I was told to put down a deposit, 2K which I did. I but not the sales. I inquired about purchasing a used Rouge. I wasn’t sure I could get financing. I was told to put down a deposit, 2K which I did. I was looking to find out the monthly payment BEFORE making the purchase. AFTER they found a place that would finance the purchase they called and it went through after several denials. Still didn’t get the monthly payment from them. They finally called and said financing went through, when could I pick up the vehicle? Wait, they never got back with the monthly payment which was the key factor. “Sorry once financing is approved you own the vehicle”. What? I would have said no if they had told me the monthly payment. Guess that’s why they didn’t. After much badgering I finally gave up and went to pick up the vehicle. It wouldn’t start! Only a battery issue, a dead one. They had to charge it up, not replace it charge it! I finally took possession and the day after delivery battery was dead and wouldn’t start. AAA was a savior and got it started. After purchasing two vehicles the personnel had all changed but for the worse not better. Buyer beware. The head of service has always been great as was the previous one. More

It's simply so different we can honestly say buying there was a pleasure. From the fact that you stay in one place, and everyone from sales to ownership to finance comes to you. The fact that you're given a tour of their service department, and inspections are "free for life". The fact that they have the instrumentation that tells you everything from your need, or do not, for an alignment to the condition of your tires as you drive over it. The light atmosphere, and COMPLETE LACK OF PRESSURE to buy made this an amazing experience. our Salesman, Daniel, and his Manager, Dustin worked to meet what WE wanted, not what they wanted to sell. No secret "meetings with the Manager". No "What do we have to do to get you in this car today". No bologna. Just people who desired our business and were willing to be hyper flexible to get it. We can't say enough. It was actually a fun experience, and we appreciated that as much as we do our new vehicle. More
