As I live in Manhattan, Symthe goes above and beyond to accommodate my schedule and the team of Sean, Tony, Tom, Nick and Gary all know me by name and are always so helpful with the myriad of questions I usually have. I had a tire defect and needed a new one on short notice. After attempting to replace it at two national chains closer to my house (neither of which had my tire in stock), I called Smythe. I have a 2003 Volvo that is long past warranty. I took the vehicle to a local garage and was advised that the turbo charger was blown and I had to replace it. He further advised that he could do the job for $1,300.00. I was concerned about the difficulty of the job and had the vehicle towed to Smythe Volvo. I was greeted by the Service Manager Sean who waited 45 minutes past their shop closing hours. I might add it was the Friday of Memorial Day weekend. He kept his family plans waiting in order to make sure my needs were met. I received a phone call on Tuesday morning. Sean advised that it was not the entire unit but only an intake hose. The repair was done promptly and for under $300.00. I have heard time after time "avoid the dealer, they will take advantage." I have heard that dealership service people work off of commissions. This could not be further from the truth at this dealership. I went to meet with the dealership manager to praise my service experience. I was pleased to find out it was the service manager's brother. They are a family business not a big corporate dealership. If you are looking for clean, honest, inexpensive work on your volvo I highly recommend Smythe Volvo of Summit New Jersey. Say hello to Sean for me! Customer for life, Mike H More

I put 120,000 miles on my 2005 Volvo S80 which I gave to my granddaughter and it is still running great. My 2010 Volvo S80 has 52,300 miles and no problems. I have had a lot of issues with my suv over the past couple of years, and Tony has always been there for me, listening carefully, trying to help me out, and trying not to break the bank.
