When I entered the dealership I was greeted in a friendly and personable manner by Sean Flanagan. Being impressed at a car dealership is not a description prior to my experience here I would ever have used. Mr. Flanagan made sure I was comfortable in the waiting room as I waited for my car. When ready, I was given a complete explanation of what had been done. There was no charge for this service because my car was purchased recently. I was appreciative. I am compelled to write this review regarding my visit to Smythe Volvo on Saturday, August 4th, 2012. I went to the dealership as I noticed earlier in the day that I had a screw in one of my tires on my XC Smythe Volvo on Saturday, August 4th, 2012. I went to the dealership as I noticed earlier in the day that I had a screw in one of my tires on my XC90 which I had purchased from the dealership. After driving by a number of closed repair / tire shops, Smythe was there when I needed them. My salesman, Chris Henriksen and Sean Flanagan, did not hesitate to perform the repair despite the fact that it was beyond the normal service hours, in fact the repair was done complementary. This is just one example of the type of experiences that I have had at Smythe. Chris my sales representative is a true professional, knowledgeable about the product and low pressure in his approach. Sean Flanagan is a very active and engaged, personally reaching out to me after service appointments in order to ensure that I was completely satisfied. Tony Plesh in service is also extremely helpful, providing insight into service recommendations Bottom line - I am a huge fan of the brand and this dealership. I currently drive two Volvo's and over the last couple of years have owned a S80, S60 and XC90. The best complement to a business is providing a good recommendation. Not only am I writing this recommendation but have also recommended this dealership to family members (father and sister) who have also purchased vehicles from Smythe. P.S. when I was in the dealership waiting for my car to be serviced I test drove a C70. When it's time to get my next car I now know what it will be! More
Although I purchased my used '08 Volvo at a Lexus dealership, and both Steve and Craig of the sales staff understood I would not be buying from Smythe, they were generous with time and advice and gen dealership, and both Steve and Craig of the sales staff understood I would not be buying from Smythe, they were generous with time and advice and genuinely friendly and helpful both before I made the purchase and afterward in checking me out on the vehicle. In the service department, Tom Coward assisted me when I realized that there was only one day left on the car's existing new car warranty, and made sure I was treated just as if I had bought the car at Smythe. Subsequently, when the Lexus dealer was duplicitous regarding service they had promised but not performed, Tom, Doug, and Sean were very helpful in making sure that the work was completed and my vehicle was safe and in the best possible condition. Throughout some 6 or 7 visits in the space of only a couple of weeks, when others might have tired of a visitor who was not intending and did not buy from them and then turned out to be at the end of his warranty period, all of these gentlemen were unfailingly warm and helpful at all times. If I purchase a new Volvo in the future, their kindness and professionalism will surely bring me back to Smythe. More

I had an emergency and needed a headlight beam replaced the night before our vacation. The store was closed but I caught Tony leaving the parking lot and asked if he could help.He opened the place up and the night before our vacation. Thanks to Doug on my recent service visit, a developing problem was fixed before it became serious. Kudos to the entire department for extending the life of my 1st Volvo over 200,000 miles. Needed to have a brake lamp replaced. I was told to bring my car in between 9 and 10 the next day and work would be completed within a half hour while I wait.
