Service experience I don.t deny that they are the best in the market . I decided to write a review today as I read a review by Larry D dated 5/28/2015 .He had a problem with the front seat leather. He went to them after the other dealer in Bridgewater told him it's not covered by warranty, they called Volvo & shared the cost half Smythe half Volvo to change the entire seat. I had a driving shaft problem & angel gear for my xc90, this is a mechanical problem , in my opinion should never happened to a low mileage Volvo not a cosmetic thing! They costed me over 5 grands refusing to do even any discount or call Volvo to take responsibility over the car & stand behind their brand. I tried to explain that to the manager, he was polite refusing to do anything. I hope they can understand now what I was trying to say as it's not fair at all. I have Volvo car now for almost 16 years, the other Volvo car I had stayed with me for 11 years. I been with Smythe Volvo now for 4 years since I bought the xc90,everybody there is so nice , the job is always done great, but that was the only time I was not happy. More

I love the people there they have an attitude that you just want to be around. Kindly friendly and just human. The sales people are great and courteous and my service professional Nick who takes care of my car is just one up from anyone I would want to have the pleasure of dealing with so helpful it goes beyond. I am very grateful to have found these people and will continue to establish this repor that is leasing again and going out of my way to have the vehicle serviced there only because it is very satisfying and totally benefitting to myself and my family who also owns Volvos. Chris Henriksen's honest and forthright manner and highly informative approach really gave us the sense that we were buying the right car for us and also getting a great value! Having purchased our other car from Smythe as well, we have become acquainted with many of the guys in the service department and would be remiss if not say that their honest and impeccable service is another reason we did not consider even looking at cars at another dealer. Eric Hendriksen was so knowledgeable, helpful & nice. He took the time to show us all the features and we decided to go ahead and purchase the car from them. Dealing with Alex in the finance area was great as he was a wealth of knowledge as well. I highly recommend Smythe....with employees like these it's no wonder they have been in businesses so long! :) More
Emergency repair of S80. We have been with Smythe Volvo for over ten years. We currently own two older Volvos, a 2004 Volvo XC-90 and a 2008 S80. We can think of no other plac We have been with Smythe Volvo for over ten years. We currently own two older Volvos, a 2004 Volvo XC-90 and a 2008 S80. We can think of no other place to have the servicing of these vehicles. Every time we had an issue the service department has come through with flying colors. This time was no exception. Even though I did not have a scheduled appointment, Doug and Tony got the S80 checked out and repaired. I thought I was going to miss an important meeting but their diligence and hard work allowed the car to be repaired and back on the road in plenty of time. They are truly the best. More
All around SUPERB Dealership!! Just drove home my newly leased 2015 XC60...the 3rd car I have either bought of leased from Smythe (my husband purchased his used Volvo 960 there two Just drove home my newly leased 2015 XC60...the 3rd car I have either bought of leased from Smythe (my husband purchased his used Volvo 960 there two years ago). As always it was an excellent experience! Both Kristian and Alex are professional, extremely knowledgeable, courteous, caring, friendly, very pleasant and they made the entire leasing process seamless. I had extended my previous lease because Volvo was supposed to come out with a new engine for the XC60 but this was delayed beyond the allowed lease extension time-table. The lease extension process was tedious but Kristian was with me throughout the process assisting me however I needed. Although I was disappointed that Volvo (the company) made this decision to delay the new XC60 engine, Kristian went out of his way to assist me in getting a new car and the lease extension and he worked with me to bring the monthly new lease cost to within my guidelines. Whenever I had a question or concern, Kristian immediately responded with answers. Actually, everyone at Smythe Volvo goes out of their way to make sure all issues are dealt with promptly and resolved. During my lease-extension period with my 2013 XC60, I had a minor fender bender and needed it repaired quickly before my extension expired. Tony got me an overnight appointment in service and Doug went above and beyond by arranging an immediate appointment at the body shop so that the repair could be promptly done before the lease extension expired. I could not have asked for or received better service. I have never had a bad experience at Smythe and I will be purchasing (or leasing) all my future cars from Kristian and Smythe Volvo. Now that I have my new car, the only down-side is that I will not be visiting Smythe very often and I will miss that because I feel like they are all my friends and everyone there makes you feel that you are the most important customer they have!! You can't ask for more than that. More

He was very friendly and knowledgeable and he offered the car at a fair price. No games. No hidden fees. Whenever we had a question, he responded promptly. He also never tried to pressure or upsell us. As a woman, I've dealt with salesmen who were condescending or dismissive, but everyone at Smythe was very respectful and courteous. Definitely worth the drive to NJ from Brooklyn. We've only had the car for a week, but it runs great, and if it continues to run as well as I suspect it will, we'll definitely head back to Smythe for our future car purchases. More

Car is cared for efficiently and done right the first time. Over the past 6 months I have been in 3 times for regular maintenance and warranty service. Always the same friendly experience. I had a problem with the leather seat wearing out prematurely. The dealer in Bridgewater where I live said it was not covered by warranty and would not repair. I brought to Smyth. They called Volvo and arranged to have the work done (half Smyth, half Volvo). I know that replacing a front seat on a modern car with all the electronics and gadgetry probably cost with parts a labor a grand or two. So now you know why I drive 45 minutes to go to Smyth rather that the 10 minute drive to the Bridgewater Volvo dealer. Bridgewater is fine and functional. But Smyth is friendly, consistently efficient and outstandingly personable. Both Tom and Dennis in service have always done us right. Even a courtesy hand car wash on the last visit. Kevin the owner is a very nice guy and even remembers us when we come in and he sees us. They have my business and should get yours! More
