I purchased a Certified Pre-Owned XC90 T6 Inscription from Smythe Volvo in early November. I had a fantastic experience overall. I traded in my Audi Q3 because I needed a bigger car as it will be a while before I am comfortable getting back on planes and trains for vacation travel. Steve Badian was my sales rep. I came in knowing exactly which car I wanted, so I didn’t end up spending a ton of time browsing. Smythe’s used cars are priced VERY well. I found exactly what I was looking for for a MUCH better price than the other Volvo dealers near me. So much so that I honestly was expecting Smythe Volvo to try and lowball my trade, but they didn’t. They gave me blue book value for my Audi, and the trade assessment was super quick and painless. Steve was very friendly and knowledgeable, and the young tech ( I believe his name was Derrick) was great as well. He explained all the bells and whistles of the vehicle to me before I left the lot. The only thing I wish I could change is the amount of time spent in the dealership. I found what I wanted on their website, filled out the finance application online, didn’t need to test drive it since I’ve driven the XC90 before, and I was still there for about six hours... which is the thing I don’t love about any dealership buying experience. However, every NYC transplant to NJ is buying cars due to COVID, so the wait to get back to Finance was the reason for the lengthy experience since Finance was pretty busy. More

It was such a pleasure working with him that we ended up getting two Volvos on the same day, thanks to Bob and the rest of the team. Paul was great in showing all the features of the cars to our family --twice in one day. He really knows the cars and was so respectful in how he treated us. Francine in Finance did a great job too. She explained all the paperwork and handled everything so quickly, without a hitch. I would recommend this dealership and this team to anyone who is in the market for a nice car -- or two! More
