I went in to see if I could find a car I would like. Ran into a problem - they had TOO MANY to choose from. After a few test drives and zero pressure I fell in love. From there it was super easy.. Of the last 15 Volvos I have leased or owner since 2006, 4 of them have been from Smythe- the other 11 were from various others in NJ and Pa. That's important- this was my youngest son's first car & he understood, knowing I was very protective and wanting to make sure my son made the best decision. His team included Val the General Mgr., Howie in Finance, and another Volvo 'Genius' ( similar to a BMW 'Genius')- named Jesus, who helped me learn the technology and helped clean/transfer my trades as well as our new cars. He is coming up at Volvo- they need to keep him. he's one of the hardest working guys at a dealership I've seen, dedicated, and truly loves his job. Very professional, clean, and well-run dealership. As a group, even from the person who greeted me, to other salespeople who spoke about everyday stuff, were friendly, accommodating, and open to my negotiations. Val and Howie know Volvo very well, but also came from BMW- the other vehicles I have, so I appreciate the prior and current auto knowledge. I admit I am not an easy customer. I came prepared with some knowledge, #'s, but lots of Volvo experience and loyalty. They made me feel welcome and appreciated, but eventually the owner, Kevin, made the entire difference. I have never seen an owner take so much pride in his dealership and even jump in to help sell his merchandise. He doesn't have to- he wants to. As in my profession, I appreciate someone who loves their work and is passionate about what they come to work to do everyday. I found the exact color combo I was looking for and my son is pleased with his first vehicle. Volvo certainly builds a product and brand that can sell itself, but they can thank Smythe for having the ability to extend that pride and confidence. Overall, Kevin Flanagan can be proud of his legacy-Smythe is a class act. More
