The experience was horrendous. Before we visited the dealership we called to confirm that the car we were interested was still in stock, and that the price and mileage matches the Before we visited the dealership we called to confirm that the car we were interested was still in stock, and that the price and mileage matches the add, it does. We did this in advance in hopes of making the process smooth since we live far away and have a newborn. As soon as we get there the salesman says the car is being ”buffed” i.e all small scratches that are not deep and through the paint job are being taken care of. During the time we wait he tries presenting other cars for us which we are not interested in and it was unclear of what cars they actually had on the property. After about 1 hour he tells us that the car is finished in the repair shop and presents it to us. All scratches that a “buff” job is suppose to take care of are still there. To top it all of the car has a price tag in the window that is aprox 4000 higher than the price we called in to confirm before driving there. We reminded him of the price that is on the website but he has to check because “there may have been a mistake on the website” He comes back and says that we are right and Supposedly they have decreased the price but have not mentioned it anywhere. And call it a “end of year blow out sale”, sales tactics that are not surprising quite frankly, ruthless. After a lot of back and forth we decide that will take the car and the price we ended up paying was the listed price on the website…but they tried to make us feel good saying that we are getting a deal. We were then sent off to a bank to get a check since they do not accept cards and come back to the dealership about 1hour later to hand it over and have the car delivered. We were told if we did not get the car that day it would go to auction. We were promised to be taken care of quickly since we paid in full and did not need financing. But the salesperson went home and we ended up waiting for over two hours in the waiting room to meet with someone in finance to sign papers and hand over the check (something that ended up taking 10 minutes). The salesperson didn’t hand us over to another colleague in the sales team, just leaves and has us wait with no clear timeline. All in all it took us 6 hours at the dealer to cash a car with a salesman that doesn’t know anything about Volvos and just making things up. I truly hope all salesman at the dealership don’t behave like this. This guy is really tarnishing the reputation of all car salesman in the industry and adding to the stigma people have about dealerships and salesman. More
