After my Toyota Solara was totalled I only had 5 business days to find a replacement vehicle. I went to VW, Nissan, Infinity & Acura. I was amazed to discover how disintrested the sales staff at every dealer days to find a replacement vehicle. I went to VW, Nissan, Infinity & Acura. I was amazed to discover how disintrested the sales staff at every dealer EXCEPT Smithtown Acura was in helping me to find a car quickly. (In this economy I actually expected to be bombarded by the sales staff at every dealer.) There was NO pressure from my sales person, John Schepp, only intelligent questions to help me determine which model would be best for the type of driving I do. After spending at least a couple of hours with John I decided that I needed to "sleep on it". John was off the next day, which was a Sunday, but had given me his cell phone # & promised that he would come in if I needed to come back for another test drive in order to make my decision. I did need another test drive....& he was there, on his day off, with a smile on his face. He worked the numbers until I was satisified & I bought a 2010 TL that makes me smile every time I see it. Thank you John! You're a rare breed! I look forward to my next Acura purchase through Smithtown Acura. More

When I arrive with a particular problem and present it to the service person, I am greeted with friendlyness,an understanding of the problem and a eagerness to resolve it. The job is done professionally and I never have to bring it back to the dealer to have a correction made. It is done right the first time. More
My first experience at Acura in Smithtown didn't turn out to be a good one. I wanted togo in to buy a car there because I had dreamed and saved to buy an Acura. I had saved a good amount of money and because I was young the sales man did not have any interest in me. He was very condisending and didn't take me seriously. I was very hesitant to return when I recieved the recall. When I came in the person that I worked with in the service desk was very friendly and helpful. I came in for a recall and they found another problem that wouldve soon become serious. She helped me look into my warrenty and it allowed them to fix it that day. I wish I remembered her name because she helped out alot, not everyone is like that. She gave me a different experience which allowed me to want to return again and see that they do wonderful work. So just like anywhere I learned that not everyone will be friendly its just finding the right person. More
A few weeks ago, when we had four days in a row with 95+ degree weather – on the third day on my way home from Manhattan to Long Island – my air conditioning stopped working. Fortunately I was able to get t degree weather – on the third day on my way home from Manhattan to Long Island – my air conditioning stopped working. Fortunately I was able to get to the dealerships customer service department 10 min. before they closed – all the loaner cars were spoken for and the following days service calendar was full – but when I walked into the service department completely drenched in perspiration in a business suit – they must have felt sorry for me, because they made magic happen – I went home that day in the loaner, the service manager had someone look at the car obediently and diagnose what the issue was – and made sure that someone from parts, have the part up front and center so that the service person could come in first thing in the morning and complete the repair before 9 AM, and I promise to have the loaner back to them for their other commitments by that time. This is where the story should end – they had already been to over backwards an extended themselves and the following day was going to be another hundred degree day – but they went further, while working on my car the technicians noticed that strut was leaking [which was covered my my warranty] and a few other minor issues – instead of giving me the car back and asking me to bring it in another time for service – they made an accommodation for me to keep the loaner car and completed all the service that day! It's one of the many reasons why I keep purchasing Acura's and that's the main reason why I keep returning to Smithtown Acura – my many thanks again to all of the fine employees at that organization More
