We had a little delay with shipping but Paula was on top of the matter and the vehicle arrived with minor inconvenience to me. The one area of concern has to do with the vehicle having been in an accident. The Carfax was clean, which means very little to me as not all accidents are reported to, or captured by, Carfax. Knowing this, and with the guidance of my mechanic/body guy, I asked John to confirm if the car had been in an accident. The report he provided, in my opinion, was both incomplete and inaccurate. The vehicle had signs of repair (passenger side of the car which is not what John disclosed) which my body guy noticed immediately. I suspect John, and Smith Imports, knew this, too. The repair was done well and having full disclosure wouldn't have changed my mind about the purchase. Truthfulness is important to me and, in this case, I don't feel I was dealt with honestly, which means I wasn't dealt with fairly. I'm in sales and understand the importance of closing the deal. I don't, however, appreciate deception as a closing technique. More
