After the sale....not so great. During the preview of the inventory, and our selection of purchase things really could not have gone better, When it came time to sit and process the During the preview of the inventory, and our selection of purchase things really could not have gone better, When it came time to sit and process the transaction that is when things began to get "fuzzy". We had a trade-in and paid cash for the difference of our purchase. The navigation system of the car lacked a chip, or card, in order for it to function properly. Johnny said, no problem, we can have one here in a few days and we can mail it to you. We said fine and continued with the transaction. We live out of state so the bill of sale, title, odometer statement, and other pertinent documents were to be mailed to our local Tax Collector's office in order for us to pay the sales tax on the vehicle, and to purchase our license plate. We could not take these documents with us because our check had to clear before they would forward the documents. We were told it would take at least five days for the check to clear. So, it would be at least a week before documents arrived at our Tax Collector's office. A week past, no documents or nav card. Phoned the dealership. Was advised the chip was going to be late because the manager thought Johnny ordered the chip, and Johnny thought John Adams had ordered the chip. An obvious lack of communication. I inquired about the forwarding of the documents and I advised them our check cleared the day after our purchase. This on a Friday so we told the documents would be Fedxed and would be there by Monday morning. We waited a couple of days before going to the tax office just to make certain the documents had arrived. The tax clerk searched their office thoroughly and no documents were to be found. I called the dealership to begin tracing the papers. This was before noon. I was assured someone would find out what happened and receive a callback. I waited for several hours...no call so, I called. Was informed by Johnny their Title Clerk had not mailed the documents. Another example of poor communication, or just extremely poor job performance. Johnny did however handle the situation. When he finished his workday. He drove seventy plus miles to our residence and hand-delivered the documents and the navigation chip. He installed the chip himself and apologized profusely concerning all of the poor handlings of our transaction. Clearly there is a communication problem at the dealership which is difficult to understand with the dealership being so small. So, the poor performance clearly falls back on the manager. Which he himself was part of the transaction. More
