Will flat out lie to you on the phone to get you in the door Posted my car online and received a quote. Not 10 minutes later does Tom from Smith Haven Jeep call me telling me how badly he wants the car and that Posted my car online and received a quote. Not 10 minutes later does Tom from Smith Haven Jeep call me telling me how badly he wants the car and that they "move cars quick". I explained my situation to him that I can't accept any lower than the quote and that I live 35 miles from his dealership. I also asked him if he would be able to honor a price from another dealership that I went to for a new jeep. He insisted it wasn't a problem. I told him I work 2 jobs and I really can't waste my time. Again he said we really want your car. I drive the next day 35 miles out to this dealership and Tom is nowhere to be found. He's apparently off today! Another saleswoman approaches me and says she's going to help me. I tell her what the autotrader quote gave me and that they are listed as a dealership that will accept the car. She takes the car and comes back $2000 less. I even listed the car in good condition with every MINOR issue noted and she couldn't give me a single reason why the offer is less. Clearly just a way to drag people in and hope they are stupid enough to take less on the trade in. Also she said she was shocked at the quote for the new jeep the other dealership gave me. "Everyone's Savin at Smith Haven"...nope just the dealership who couldn't care less about other people's time as long as they might be able to rip you off on a trade in. Thanks for the lies on the phone! Good honest people you have working the customers telling them anything to get them in the door! Do not buy from this dealership! More

I am writing to let you know what a amazing experience I had with Rick Maguire and Arthur as well as Dennis we went in after being screwed by Smithtow I am writing to let you know what a amazing experience I had with Rick Maguire and Arthur as well as Dennis we went in after being screwed by Smithtown ford our lease was up we had enough of ford so we walked in and were treated like priority 1 and with less then perfect credit made buying a certified Jeep with low miles as easy as could be the deal was so Good I traded in my old beater for a new car as well left over 2014 Rick ,Arthur as well as Dennis did a phenomenal job and we now have 2 brand new cars for the price of the one ford truck we were going to get ...... So today I took delivery and brought my mother in-law in she purchased a new car as well 3 cars 2 days very happy family thanks again to smithhaven auto group customer for life !!!!!! More
It was alright I want to start off by saying ive only had the car for 3 days and so far so good. I walked in to just talk over numbers and prices. Sales associate jumped to financing and approval and the told me the colors of the cars, didn't even offer to show me (I later learned they were in a lot down tbe road) so what? I wanted to see my choices! Saw the car and fell in love. Paying a bit more than I wanted but I did end up getting the car. I felt a bit rushed but it was busy and as I found out they are trying hire more associates and I would have felt better if they came out and said "we are low staffed and busy, can you wait a bit?" I would have understood. Car was used and didn't come with a manual, minor issue but I would have liked a "here, a manual, sorry about that" and the key wasn't a remote fob. No one told me the remote fobs were locked in the safe so come back when they are open, instead I panicked and paid $90 for a spare "chip" key. I think being honest is best, I would have understood. Hopefully my experience will be pleasant but its only been 3 days. More

Normally I'm loyal to Chevy for decades but have friends with businesses and they love their Dodge trucks. Got a flier in mail filled with price incentives, Jay Marine looked into it and was very honest and final price on my vehicle was a great buy IMO. He knew a lot about the vehicle, purchase transaction was easy and it was ready in decent time. Just returned after putting 100 miles on it with a xx engine light - service pulled me right in as an emergency, diagnosed and fixed the issue (minor computer upgrade) and had me out the door in reasonable time. More

After reading the advertisement in Newsday about the end of year sign and drive and the fact that my wife needed a new car we ventured out to Smith Ha After reading the advertisement in Newsday about the end of year sign and drive and the fact that my wife needed a new car we ventured out to Smith Haven Dodge where we met Jay Marine, Jay showed my wife a few Jeeps, but nothing that caught her attention. Jay was really nice and didn't pressure us, we shook hands and left. We continued looking and then my wife saw a 2015 True Blue Patriot it caught her eye. Because Jay was so nice to us we returned to Smith Haven. When Jay saw us return he was very surprised. He showed my wife a few Patriots and let her drive one. That day we purchased the Jeep from Smith Haven and Jay Marine, Dave the Manager along with both Adams in finance were awesome, they made the purchase stress free, something we had not had in the past, we told them what we wanted to pay and they made it happen. We were so happy with Smith Haven Dodge, so happy I returned on the 21'st of January traded in my 2012 Ram and bought a 2015 all with the help of the best salesman I have had through many vehicle purchases Jay Marine! Thanks Jay, Dave, Adam's parts department, service department at Smith Haven Dodge you guys ROCK! More

Buyer BEWARE!!! Based on my experience, Smith Haven Ram is the worst kind of dealership. Nice to your face, then they will try to sneak around behind you and take your wallet. The salesman I dealt with was great...very nice, and straight forward. However, once the "sales manager" got himself involved, it became clear what kind of establishment Smith Haven really was. He was very slick. Craftily, they baited me by bringing me back into the dealership with promises (written) of the deal we had worked on for a little more than a week, then once there, switched me from a 2015, to a leftover 2014 truck at the last minute. Classic move! Then, after finalizing our deal and running my credit, he made up totally different numbers and put them on the buy order!!! He told me I wasn't entitled to the manufacturer's end of the year rebates/incentives, and tried to sneak another fee passed me, after telling me to my face that there were absolutely NO MORE fees. (As if the fee they charge for "storing all their files and paperwork at an offsite location" wasn't absurd enough!) The best was when I told the salesman that the numbers were all wrong, the "sales manager" came back with the same fantasy buy order, and said, "I just need you to sign this real quick, then we can get your truck prepped and get you on your way". Like I would magically sign the made up buy order for him, when I refused to sign it for my salesman?! At best, his actions were deceptive and dishonest. I guess he thought I wouldn't catch him? Or maybe he thought I wouldn't dare walk away from a deal after 3.5 torturous hours at the dealership? (Another classic old time trick...keep the customer there for as long as possible and wear them down). Did he think I wouldn't disappoint my son who excitedly sat with me through the whole ordeal? Whatever the case, he was wrong. I caught him, and I walked. The general manager later pretended to care about my experience, but never bothered to actually speak to me. A few rounds of phone tag, and he lost interest. He "investigated" by speaking with his "sales manager" and declared that he was "on the up and up". Be very aware folks! Do not let your guard down for one second in that place. They will try every trick in the dirty car salesman book. More
