Smedley's Chevrolet did look at your 2014 Malibu at your request due to it having multiple issues. You had us inspect the vehicle for it not shifting properly as well as having a power steering light that would come on. You also mentioned that the door locks would go crazy at the same time as the shifting concern and power steering message. We did start by replacing your battery due to it failing a battery test and you having multiple communication codes between modules in your vehicle. We tested both batteries in the vehicle and the main AGM battery failed the test while the Start/Stop battery passed the test. We suggested to replace the main AGM battery as well as a wheel hub assembly due to a broken ring that is used to measure wheel speed and then retest and drive the vehicle. You authorized the battery but not the wheel hub assembly. We replaced the battery only and test drove the vehicle 15 miles to see if the door locks would act up. The door locks did not act up as we drove the vehicle. We returned the vehicle to you and the door locks acted up and you called us to re-inspect for that concern. We did inspect the previous work performed at no charge, but you had added multiple other issues you wanted inspected on this visit. Your vehicle has multiple issues and we know you were hoping that after replacing the battery it would reset the computer and your concerns would no longer be present. Smedleys Chevrolet did discuss with you that we did not believe that replacing the battery would correct the vehicle's multiple issues.

I did fail to mention I had to call and speak to the service manager to get the 2nd diagnostic fee removed after the taking the car back a second time. Chris/Kris that handled my complaint made it perfectly clear that I would need to see the cashier and pay 2nd diag fee in order to get my car. I did call his supervisor Justin. Justin was very nice and understanding and did modify the 2nd diag fee. I would definitely recommend Chris brush up on his customer service skills. Lesson learned with dealing with Smedleys. Never again and will warn others.
