Bought 2007 Corvette on Saturday May 27. Tuesday May 30 automatic transmission would not engage. May 31 had car towed to local Chevrolet dealer to be fixed. Issues related to the truck alone, the 2022 Ford Maverick with 17k miles has a shutter issue in the rear end that should have been made known to me during the purchase, the electronic radio console has a lot with 17k miles has a shutter issue in the rear end that should have been made known to me during the purchase, the electronic radio console has a lot of connectivity and shut off issues, the parking brake has issues staying locked up when releasing(I believe from the minor wreck on the Carfax report) and the interior had a significant amount of scratches for a "brand new vehicle" as the salesman stated. I feel these issues should have been fixed, a drop in sales price, compensated in some form, or at least made known of the issues during the sale. It'd be nice to have a dealership with integrity to make it right. I drove 11 hours to buy the truck. During the drive in traffic, the sales manager required me to contact my bank with him on the phone to verify I wasn't scamming them and send a picture of the check. While also requiring a $300 reservation fee for the truck. Later this was refunded, which I was fairly happy about. However, I've had way worst experiences with dealerships in the past. The dealership did stay open 10 minutes late to finalize the sale and they didn't sell the vehicle out from under me during my travel. I wouldnt call it exceptional, but I appreciated that. The sales manager was less than welcoming on the phone upon arrival and the signature process. I paid $29,999(then the $300 refunded to that amount) when the price should've been $25k due to the repairs needed. All in all I give them 3 stars. Smedley Chevy dealership is welcome to reach out to make it right to cover the cost of the repairs needed that the warranty will not cover under Ford. More
