I have been a Smart customer for quite a while. Recently, I needed 4 new tires for my Toyota, and Smart was running a special ONLY for the month of May- buy 3 get one for $1.00. They had the tires I wanted, I needed 4 new tires for my Toyota, and Smart was running a special ONLY for the month of May- buy 3 get one for $1.00. They had the tires I wanted, so I made an appt , to have them put on. I had to cancel that appt, and made one for the following week. However, the new appt. was for June 1st, so I was informed that the deal was only for the month of May. I guess I easily could have purchased the tires before June 1st, and had them installed on the 1st. Maybe, it wasn't an option, but I was never informed of that! So, another Toyota dealer was running the same special in June, so I went there. The people are great, good food, but no communication. More

Just bought our first Toyota from Bill Bailey at Smart Motors. Bill was very personable and in all of our contacts with the staff at Smart Motors, they were very friendly and professional. When we arrived to sign the contract, all the numbers matched (what I expected to see). There were no games or sales tricks. I was very happy to find a sales person I can trust. What a concept! (Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus!) Thanks to John and Phil for taking the time to explain all the new features and do the special programming for the garage door link. The recall work was done promptly and well within the time frame alloted. Had several phone conversations regarding parts/price, wasn't until I asked about after market pricing was that an option. I asked if labor included cost of diagnostic and was told yes; otherwise, would have replaced myself since only 3 screws involved. Wasn't til I went to pay and pick up vehicle that I was charged $115 for diagnostic on top of labor to install blower motor. When questioned he said there's a separate diagnostic charge for check engine light and blower motor. I've emailed the Service Manager, Jim Ware, but yet to hear reply. More
Too fast, i brought some stuff to do while i waited for my truck 5000 mile checkup and didn't get it finished. I had a problem with the service department over a period of time regarding work the performed on my car. They didnot tell me of a beginning problem with the tires/alignment and I eventually had to replace m of time regarding work the performed on my car. They didnot tell me of a beginning problem with the tires/alignment and I eventually had to replace my tires. When I contacted Jim with my problem and my view of what happened he was great. I believe they will be more forthcoming with their service customers in the future and I am satisfied with the outcome of my complaint. In short, I was pleasantly surprised to get someone from "the corporation" to actually talk to me and do something positive to corect the situation. It seems like most companies spend all thier time and effort making excuses. Smart Motors does not do that and I recomend them to anyone. More
