Smart motors is a great place. They had a good deal on the tires we needed, but felt it should not take 5.5 hours to put on new tires and line it up. We had an appt. for 7:15am. Stopped backat 11:45am and the tires we needed, but felt it should not take 5.5 hours to put on new tires and line it up. We had an appt. for 7:15am. Stopped backat 11:45am and truck still sat in quick lube and seemed like as soon as we said we were back it went for the alignment. Why did it take so long to do this when most places do it in 2 hours or less. Any other time we have been very happy with the service just not so much for quick lube. More
Avoid Smart Motors if you possibly can! As many others before, my experience with the their service department was nothing but frustrating, and I have taken my business elsewhere. They are expensive to begin with, and then they do not stand behind their work. Six month ago, a tear in the driver’s seatbelt required replacing it. That repair was aggravating enough. The repair was supposed to be done the same day we brought the car in, but took almost a week because they couldn’t get the parts in in time, and kept making empty promises. Now, six months later, the new seatbelt has a tear in the same spot where the old one ripped, and is half way ripped through. We brought the car back to them, expecting an apology, and a free replacement. Far from it. They couldn’t figure out how the tear had occurred. That was bad enough in my mind. On top of that, their position was that since they couldn’t figure out how the tear had occurred it obviously couldn’t be their fault, and hence we needed to pay for it. So much for taking responsibility for their work. Well, we’ll have the seat belt repaired, but not at Smart Motors. This was the last time I’ve done any business with them. We’ve been a Smart Motors customer for seven years, but my trust with them is gone, both in terms of being competent enough to actually fix this, and in terms of the way they are doing business. I felt ripped off. With the volume of their sales, their service department apparently has too many customers to care about both the quality of their work, and the satisfaction of their customers. There is a lack of quality control in their Quick Lube. I had a $60 oil change done and the next day my spouse noticed the car seemed "sluggish". So I propped open the hood and saw the technician forgot to I had a $60 oil change done and the next day my spouse noticed the car seemed "sluggish". So I propped open the hood and saw the technician forgot to correctly install the air filter cover. I came back the next day and received a lot of flack for trying to resolve the issue on a Friday evening. More or less Smart Motors ego is as big as their new building on Odana Road. The bigger they are, the more smug they have become. I would suggest going over to Jon Lancaster as I had received my oil changes there before without any problems. Gave 3 for cust service since I waited for 15 min after I pulled my car in the service bay before someone came out to help me. Someone was there walking around and noticed me right away, and he did inform t pulled my car in the service bay before someone came out to help me. I've been coming to Smart Toyota for over 10 yrs and that was the first time it took more than 5 min for someone to help me. So it must have been a very busy day. I assume quality of work was good that's why I gave a 4. Although it's hard for me to rate that since I can't see the inside of my car. I just hope it runs great for a while. I gave the price a 3 because all 4 of my tires were replaced at $119 per tire which seems a bit more. Then I get charged $7 per tire for disposal and that seems expensive...total of $28 to dispose tires. I continue to go to Smart due to the loaner car I get when I bring my car in for service. I bought my van at Smart so the loaner is nice. The waiting room is great. More
