After having a horrendous experience at another Toyota dealer, I was very skeptical. I am glad to say that I was wrong and happy that I made the hour trip and met with Al Franklin. It is few and far between that I write a review, but after having two opposing experiences, I had to share. Every person we came in contact with at Smart Toyota was warm and helpful. Al Franklin is knowledgeable, patient and made sure we had a fair and pleasant purchase. Justin Calvert made sure to explain financials that made me feel confident and comfortable in my purchase. I truly felt that it wasn't just a sale, but an opportunity for them to create a lasting relationship. I will definitely recommend Smart Toyota to anyone I know looking for a vehicle, Toyota or not. More

The finance department and also the orientation department did a fabulous job with making us feel comfortable with the final stages of purchasing a new car. Not honest I recently brought in my 2011 Toyota sienna van as the cable broke which opens the automatic side doors. I was informed that the motor and cable syst I recently brought in my 2011 Toyota sienna van as the cable broke which opens the automatic side doors. I was informed that the motor and cable system needed to be replaced and this would cost 1900.00. My research for a cable replacement found a cost of less than 200.00 so this was a big shock. I had no idea that there was something wrong with the motor. I did not commit to fixing it as the cost seemed high and we could still open the door manually so could just not fix it. As I did more research I decided to take off the inside door panel and while pushing the button to open the door I heard the motor running. I also heard it when I pulled the handle on the outside. They told me that the motor needed to be replaced in addition to the cable system but it was clearly audible when engaged and working. After more research I decided to try replacing just the cable component. I ordered this online for 40.00. I spent about 1.5 hours putting in the cable attachment which did require me wrapping the cable on the spool that turns when the motor runs, pulling the cables. This was the only difficult part of the entire thing making sure they were even and didn't come off the spool when placing it on the motor. Once this was done I pushed the spool onto the motor and put the panel back on and Bam! it has worked every since, 2 months out. I didn't understand how they had come to the conclusion that I needed the motor and cable replaced and felt that I should get a refund for the inspection fee. I talked with the manager of the service department (I actually did this when the door panel was off and before I put on the cable component so he could see and hear the motor run). He said that was strange and went to talk with his mechanic. When he returned, his explanation why it all needed to be replaced was: it was too difficult for the mechanics to correctly wrap the cable on the spool so they would just replace the entire motor and cable components (they would come already wrapped and together in 1 piece). I questioned why I wan't told honestly what was wrong (lying that the motor needed to be replaced) and even if told this why couldn't only the cable component couldn't be replaced (because the mechanics were not skilled enough to do what I and other youtube video posters were able to do). He tried to rationalize this without making sense and attempted to split the inspection fee because they did do something? I protested, stating what they did was tell me that something that wasn't broken needed to be replaced at a cost of 2k when the part that needed to be replaced was 40.00 and less than 2 hours of time. He eventually acquiesced and returned the full amount. I will never take my car there for anything but to have recall repairs done. They will squeeze any penny they can out of you, how else do they pay for the free donuts and coffee. More

We came in the next day for delivery and discovered a discrepancy in the purchase price. After a cordial discussion with the sales manager, we both recognized that some miscommunication had occurred by both parties. We left with the vehicle and an appreciation for a dealership that stood behind their customers! They earned our business. We will be back! More

We started with a Highlander Hybrid then a Prius for our daughter and recently a new Highlander Hybrid. Throughout those years the service department has been excellent. Should you ever need it, the body shop is superior. Everyone from sales to service to finance to vehicle orientation has always been very courteous and professional. Having a dealership experience as beneficial as this is rare. The prices for new cars are fair and trade on used cars is also fair. There is no hard sell and you feel like you have made a wise purchase when you complete the sales transaction. More

I needed the space and safety for commuting on the highways. I felt the Highlander gave me everything I needed to be comfortable and safe. I love the way it handles and drives. Gary was the perfect salesman for me. He spoke to me directly, answered all my questions and made sure I had an understanding of the vehicle. I am very pleased. More

He asked me what I wanted, what I needed and then proceeded to show me the vehicle that fit that w/the best deal they were running and didn’t try to sell me anything extra. No “rain guard”, no extra frills, just the car and all of the safety features that are standard on a RAV4. Sara went through the vehicle physically w/us and the owners manual. Dana then walked us through the paperwork and the terms of the lease. We will now be buying all of our vehicles from Smart Toyota. More

I felt I was treated fairly in the trade in value of my vehicle and price discount of new vehicle. Both Bob and Greg Erzen were very honest and informative in the transaction.
