Dishonest Dealership with fraudulent act abut my credit. I called and spoke with their salesman and agreed upon a price for A new Honda CR-V, if I went there within 2 hours. I drove 90 miles to get there. We I called and spoke with their salesman and agreed upon a price for A new Honda CR-V, if I went there within 2 hours. I drove 90 miles to get there. We did the paperwork. To get the student discount, they requested her presence. She drove from Iowa City towards Ames. Halfway through, the sales department changed their mind with the excuse of not having enough time to complete the paper work!! They wasted several hours of our time but didn’t complete the transaction, asking to go back. We felt being jerked around. As I was driving back, I called them and told them I wouldn’t go back.to them because of their dishonest behavior. Later, I received a letter from them that they had reported me to Equifax because Smart Honda “cannot provide credit to you” to me obviously. My credit score of 860, which they show on their letter. I guess they were very mad that I purchased from another dealership. Shameless they are. They are dishonest, and I call them fraudulent for reporting me to Equifax. They did the same to my daughter who never even made it to the dealership. I have called them multiple times to no avail. The event happened on Labor Day 2018. I have a copy of their report to Equifax. More

Demeaning Sales Staff and Sub Par Service I will say that I am a long time Honda owner and I refuse to do any business with Smart Honda in the future. The sales staff is EXTREMELY rude and demeaning to longtime owners. I only use the service department in the event of a recall, otherwise I go elsewhere for work. Last time I serviced my vehicle at Smart Honda, there was damage done that they refused to repair. Save your time and go to another dealer. More
