I scheduled a meeting with Michael Stanley while my 2021 CX5 was being serviced. We had previously discussed my current lease and what my options were regarding this lease. I came in for service and left with a 2024 CX5.Michael was extremely helpful, kind and very patient with all of my questions. I would advise anyone looking to buy or lease a Mazda to meet with him. Our older vehicle had broken down that day (2013 Mercedes w/ 234K on it) where we weren’t willing to any longer continue to fix “her”. This put us at a detriment seeing I typically work out of town which lea w/ 234K on it) where we weren’t willing to any longer continue to fix “her”. This put us at a detriment seeing I typically work out of town which leaves my wife to shuttle around the three kids (ages 1 to 13) to school, daycare and whatnot between her own work schedule. So, we were definitely in the market but not going to “jump” at the first thing we saw. We did go up and down Rt. 30 viewing a number of different types of vehicles at different dealerships as we narrowed down our search. Of the vehicles we looked at, my wife happened to initially like the Mazda CX-5, but due to a growing family the Mazda CX-90 fit our family’s needs better. We had a salesman by the name of JD. He impressed me from the start simply based off of his approach. We all know the typical “salesman persona” and this is simply NOT JD! He was more focused on finding out exactly what our needs were, telling us what he could and couldn’t do/strengths and shortcomings of the different models, and above all else the push for safety with the Mazda brand of vehicles to be at the forefront and about creating long-term friendships instead of pushing for “transactional deals”. Once we decided to purchase, JD knowing the the exact vehicle we wanted would have to be delivered/transferred to his dealership from a different Mazda location, he went above and beyond to ensure that as we awaited that delivery we still left his dealership with a temporary reliable vehicle (ie. loaner). He definitely “moved mountains” to secure us one to ensure our family could still function as normal as we waited which is saying a lot seeing we could not “sign on the dotted line” until our new vehicle was delivered to his location. I’m typically a “Mercedes Guy” myself even with my wife deciding on a Mazda for her newest vehicle. Though through the Smail Family of Brands this doesn’t limit JD to solely Mazda’s. Therefore, I would definitely suggest stopping to see JD (which I definitely will again when it’s time to replace my own daily driver) if you’re looking for a no haggle, straight-shooter experience regardless of Brand. From the first phone call to how my wife and I were treated throughout the sales process and multiple follow ups afterward, I was pleasantly surprised and quite pleased. Andy— kudos to your courteousness and conversational approach. Yup! You’re very likeable and that makes a strong impression. The humor and friendliness of finance guy, for which I was pre-informed of, was spot on and welcoming. Perhaps it’s weird to say it, but I enjoyed the process and the people. Oh, and I like my little CX5. Well done Smail Mazda, my hats off to you! More
I was not treated well from the moment I walked in the joint. They obviously don't have any respect for War Veterans. The sales department backed out of a contract and refused to sell me a 2024 Mazda C joint. They obviously don't have any respect for War Veterans. The sales department backed out of a contract and refused to sell me a 2024 Mazda CX 5. I was called a terrorist by a salesman when I stood up for my rights. There is no law that says, you have to have a driver's license or car insurance to buy a car. I am confused, I don't know if Bud Smail Mazda Greensburg is a car dealership or Homeland Security Ichecking greens cards and ID's. First of all there was no way that I was going to turn over my driver's license to some manipulating car salesman who makes a living out of ripping people off, it is my responsible to protect my personnel information and I'm going to do just that. I don't know why Bud Smail Mazda is collecting personnel information and not selling cars. The day, I walked out of Smail Mazda with $34,000 in my pockets made me realize what type of people that I was dealing with. Bud Smail Mazda should be embarrassed for refusing to sell a car to an American Veteran. Shame on you! Shame on you! God Bless America! xxxx on Bud Smail Mazda! More
Let me start by saying that until the day I was actually picking up the vehicle that I was purchasing, I was pleased with the customer service I had received while shopping for a new Mazda. However, when it picking up the vehicle that I was purchasing, I was pleased with the customer service I had received while shopping for a new Mazda. However, when it came time to sign the paperwork for my loan and temporary registration and title transfers, I noticed that the Purchase Price listed was even higher than the Total MSRP for the vehicle and there was no indication anywhere on the forms that I was being billed the green tagged discount price that was offered by Mazda and used 2 days prior to quote my payments after trade-in. Upon pointing that glaring discrepancy out, Greg Williams insisted that what was listed was the correct purchase price. It wasn’t until I showed him an email I had that listed the actual purchase price (which was nearly $1500 less than what they were going to try to charge me), that he stopped denying that what was on the paperwork was correct. No real apologies were offered to me when I pointed this out and told them to correct the price other than a very scripted and insincere, “oh I’m not sure why it pushed through that way.” Greg also made sure to cover his butt several times by passing the blame onto someone else stating, “I don’t compile the numbers.” After the forms were corrected, I then made Greg go line by line with me, while I verified the math on the new paperwork, because at that point, I did not trust that everything else would be accurate. After verifying, I signed off on everything and walked out of the finance office for delivery of my car with Michael Stanley, the salesperson I had been working with. While sitting in my new vehicle, after signing the title forms and temporary registration (which stated that my new vehicle had 12 miles on it), I noticed that the odometer had 205 miles on it. I asked Michael why the paperwork listed it as only having 12 miles and Michael acted surprised by this. I asked if the paperwork needed to be re-done, upon which he replied, “it won’t really affect anything.” At that point, I told Michael that that was strike two against Smail Mazda and he asked me what strike one was. I told him the purchase price was listed at nearly $1500 higher than it should have been when it came time to sign the paperwork. After no real apology from Michael, he uncomfortably asked if I needed him to show me any further features of the car and I stated that I did not. As Michael got out of my new vehicle, he said, “when it comes time to give a review, instead of giving a bad review, can you just forgo giving a review since you aren’t satisfied with what happened today and that will reflect poorly on me?” Clearly Michael was more concerned about how a customer’s honest review would impact him and the dealership than actually being honest and apologizing for such a glaring price discrepancy (that one couldn’t help but think it was a shady business practice that is commonplace). Buyers beware: ensure that you very thoroughly inspect each line item on your purchase form. I also suggest that you take pictures of any paperwork that the employees at Smail Mazda write quotes, payment projections, APRs, etc. on so that you can compare and verify those to your paperwork when it comes time to sign and purchase the vehicle. I can’t help but think about how many unsuspecting buyers, who put their trust in the staff and employees at Smail Mazda, who might not look as closely at the numbers and get taken by them. I love my new vehicle, but I will absolutely never deal with Smail Mazda in the future. More

Everything was explained clearly in detail. Which I really appreciated. Then Mike went over all the bells and whistles on car. And invited me back if I needed further information. Like I said this was my second purchase in the last four years. And I will be back in another few years. I recommend Smail dealership to all my friends. They have a wide assortment of make and models. More
