Not happy with service on our Cadillac 7 days ago, I called Smail Cadillac because I found my left rear tire was losing air and obviously had a leak. I had purchased a tire and wheel warran 7 days ago, I called Smail Cadillac because I found my left rear tire was losing air and obviously had a leak. I had purchased a tire and wheel warranty when I bought my car and told the man I spoke with that I had it and asked if I should call the warranty company. He told me no, that he would do it. Then proceeded to set my appointment..........................7 days later!! I have been driving on that tire for 7 days and have had to add air to the tire every day, sometimes twice a day. It's a TIRE, not major repairs. So we get to Smails, (45 minute drive) and they were very courteous, took the car back and patched the tire. When I went to pick up my keys, the girl told me that we owed nearly $50. I questioned that since we have the warranty. She asked a service manager, who told her that Cadillac doesn't have warranties on tires. Well, we explained that Smail's sold us the warranty when we bought the car, he made a phone call and got it straightened out and we ended up paying nothing, but did notice that the bill somehow went from $50 when we were paying out of pocket to $40 under warranty. Huh? Plus, they got tire seal all over my rim and I had to take it off with alcohol when I got home. It should not have been given back to me like that. Anyhow, it should NEVER take a WEEK to get a tire patched. EVER. Not happy about my whole experience today. My review is only concerning todays visit. More
