Sloane Toyota Malvern - Service Center

I took my Highlander to this dealership to replace my cracked windshield. This was done poorly; the seal around the new windshield looked ragged, and the glass was noisy and loose - in fact, I could act cracked windshield. This was done poorly; the seal around the new windshield looked ragged, and the glass was noisy and loose - in fact, I could actually see it moving in and out of the car frame when I drove my car on I-76! This was was scary, because that was so dangerous! I made an appointment and took the car back to the dealership 4 days later to have the windshield re-installed properly. They ended up breaking the new windshield. I had to get my windshield replaced a second time, and so I was without my car for an additional 2 days. They didn’t offer it, so I had to ask them if they could give me a loaner vehicle. I did not receive an apology for either the improperly installed windshield, or its breakage. I got brushed off with "this was just a one-time thing," and the reason for the breakage was not their fault because there was already a hairline crack in the glass. They replaced this second windshield with a third one using my car warranty, not as a courtesy gesture. What makes me upset is, not only did they do a poor job with the initial windshield replacement, but they did not acknowledge this, and they seemed to disavow any responsibility for the damage to the second windshield. It would seem obvious that if a hairline crack occurred in the second windshield, it was because they improperly installed this windshield in the first place. I have had my car serviced multiple times through other dealerships, and I NEVER experienced poor workmanship or poor customer service before. This is my first experience with Toyota service and it does not give me confidence in their workmanship, or their customer service. More
