I would recommed my sales rep and this dealership to any of my friends. The time for me to search for a car and close the deal was only 30min long. It was quick and easy. More
I just bought my sixth and seventh cars from this dealership, a 2010 Corolla XLE and a 2011 Camry XLE. My first was a 1996 Corolla which was actually at Champion in Northeast Philadelphia. Before th dealership, a 2010 Corolla XLE and a 2011 Camry XLE. My first was a 1996 Corolla which was actually at Champion in Northeast Philadelphia. Before that I bought a 1994 Camry XLE from Cherry Hill Toyota which was my first Toyota. So, I have owned eight Toyotas since 1994. I have been to other dealerships but found that Sloane is the best to deal with. I have built up a relationship with all the staff and feel like they are almost like family. I feel like I am always treated with kindness and respect. I would recommend this dealership to anyone interested in buying a Toyota. More
While I do not recommend this dealership, I have a difficult time giving them bad marks across the board. Having used Sloan to service our Toyota Prius and Camry for the past 3 years, I can say honest difficult time giving them bad marks across the board. Having used Sloan to service our Toyota Prius and Camry for the past 3 years, I can say honestly we had generally good experiences with them - at least nothing to turn us away. I finally bit the bullet and scheduled my first service at Ardmore Toyota because of a combination of factors which finally tipped the scales. 1)Sloan Toyota of Devon is expensive. Every service, every part purchased from the parts store (mostly wiper blades, key batteries etc) are considerably more expensive here. Compared with other Toytota Dealerships I have gone to, Sloan marks their prices up sometimes 100% over what the already inflated prices of other Toyota dealers charge. 2)Sloppiness in the service department. While again, generally speaking, we were satisfied with the quality of the service, on a number of occasions, I was annoyed at the visible shortcuts which Sloan mechanics (I don't know who) seemed to cut. Often, it was really minor stuff like the failure to cleanly remove the old inspection stickers from the windshield (it's not that hard) before they put the new ones on, to leaving the dirty disposable paper floormats in the car and other small offences like that. I wondered sometimes if the folks at sloan have forgotten that customers form judgements of their work based on what they can see, not just on if their vehicles are running properly. None of our complaints were ever significant enough to necessitate a call to the service manager to complain, but over the course of the past three years, there have been enough less than stellar experiences with Sloan service to erode my willingness to return. That said, a business is as good as its employees - and there seems to be a considerable amount of turnover in the service dept so things might look entirely different given a year or two. More
I'm very satisfied with my experience at Sloane of Devon. I came all the way from north Jersey to this particular dealership because of the manager, Mike and employee Bill Shirley and the rest of the staff. This is the 3rd limited edition Sienna that I have purchased from them and have recommended them to numerous family members and friends. More
We bought two cars from this dealership (Toyata Sienna and Scion xD). The sales department is OK, but the service department is the worst I have ever experienced. We just had a major fallout because and Scion xD). The sales department is OK, but the service department is the worst I have ever experienced. We just had a major fallout because of how they misrepresented warranty and related information on two runflat tires (for the Sienna) we were told we had to replace in order to pass inspection. The whole experience was a real ordeal and ended-up costing us close to $800 (for just two tires, wheel alignment and inspection!!!!) even after they agreed to lower their initial fee by a little over $100. I'm very sorry, but I have no other words but "highway robbery" to describe my opinion of this incident. Obviously, I will not be setting foot again in this dealership. More
I put a $500 deposit towards the purchase of a new car which had to be ordered. I was promised it would be delivered by the end of september but the car was only delivered 10/05. Unfortunately both my wif which had to be ordered. I was promised it would be delivered by the end of september but the car was only delivered 10/05. Unfortunately both my wife and I had surgery the first week of october and we were unable to pick up the car immediately. We agreed with the above salespeople that I would pick up the car on 10/11 not even a week after it was delivered. Again on 10/10 in the afternoon I spoke to frank who said there was no problem with me picking up the car the following day, then out of the blue after 8pm I get a call from jack saying they sold the car I had ordered and put a deposit on to someone who just walked in without even warning me. What kind of business practice is this. They make me wait a month but they can't wait 24hours! More
Before I went to Sloane Scion, I went to Tri-County Toyota for a test drive. Since Tri-County does not have manual I could test drive, I went to Sloane to try my luck. After I walk around the showroom Toyota for a test drive. Since Tri-County does not have manual I could test drive, I went to Sloane to try my luck. After I walk around the showroom for 10 minutes, no salesman seems to care about us. Finally a salesman come and offer a test drive on their scion tC. During the test drive, the salesman just sits on the rear seat and said nothing about the car. He doesn't even know the feature on the tC. After test drive, we sit down and ready to place my order and I ask about whether they have any discount on their accessories if I buy the car from them, the salesman went to ask their general manager and come back with their general manager. Their general manager told us there is no discount on any Scion accessories in a very RUDE accent and lies about if he gives discount on their accessories, they will lose their Scion license. I am surprise their general manager is so discourteous to their potential customer. I walked away. More
