The Sales Team at Sloane in Glenside are Fabulous this is my forth car from them in the past 30 years,They are amazing! My first salesman in 1985 was Dorman Glen,Then Tony Nix,Then Kenny Stith and now our l my forth car from them in the past 30 years,They are amazing! INTRO My experience at Sloane Toyota of Glenside, PA was INTRO My experience at Sloane Toyota of Glenside, PA was unreservedly pleasant, Rich (our sales rep) was always respectful, never pushy, and took car INTRO My experience at Sloane Toyota of Glenside, PA was unreservedly pleasant, Rich (our sales rep) was always respectful, never pushy, and took care of us in a way where we were convinced that our concerns in purchasing the right vehicle for us was understood, empathized with, and met as best as Rich could. We felt like we were in good hands and comparatively to other persons in other dealers, in the best of hands. To Rich and Jack (manager), it didn't matter that we were buying a certified pre-owned vehicle as opposed to a new one. They treated my wife and me with professional care. SIMILAR OFFERS AT OTHER DEALERS, TOTALLY DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE After we had spoken with Rich and Jack at Sloane, we took the written quote to a few a other dealers. They offered similar deals, but their attitude of trying to get the most money out of us, the demeanor of "I don't care about you, I care about how much you can give me" just turned my wife and me off to them. It didn't matter that they had comparable deals. It one was closer to us. One dealer even offered $200 less than the quoted price, but we knew that even though up front we would have gotten a slightly better deal, servicing the car at the dealer would be completely unenjoyable and regrettable. WORKING AFTER HOURS Rich and Jack continued to work after hours for us. All the while, I could see that they were tired and wanted to be with family and get some rest. But they made sure that my wife and I knew that they wanted to be there and made sure that we felt comfortable and happy throughout the entire purchase process. After all, we did get a 2012 Toyota Prius and it is a popular car. But they didn't make us feel like we would be easily replaced by other customers throughout the entire process. Even after we signed, they didn't brush us off, but Rich and Jack were friendly, supportive, understanding, and VERY helpful. I felt bad for keeping them. VERY PATIENT & POLITE I came in hopeful, but skeptical. But they never showed any impatience. As an educator of Philly high school students, I know what patience is and I can honestly say that Rich and Jack were positively patient. COURTEOUS INTERNET ETIQUETTE Some dealers, even in their emails they were rude and condescending even. Some dealers sent us too many phone calls and too many emails. Sloane wasn't desperate. They showed welcoming interest in our business, but left all the pressure out of our online/email correspondences. WE WOULD GO BACK FOR OUR 2ND CAR Yes, we would definitely go back for our 2nd car. No reservations about it. (Maybe the Scion FR-S someday? But I have to ask the wife.) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED I would recommend Sloane Toyota of Glenside, PA to anyone looking into a certified-preowned vehicle. If Rich and Jack are representative of all the staff there, then that recommendation applies to all departments. ACTUALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO SERVICING THE CAR WITH THEM I am actually looking forward to our first oil change with them. I had a deal on 2010 HL Limited, gave them CC info to put a deposit and make sure to hold it. When I spoke to sellsperson and left a voice message to sales manager, they said, they will hold it for until tom a deposit and make sure to hold it. When I spoke to sellsperson and left a voice message to sales manager, they said, they will hold it for until tomorrow because I could not make a deal same day for family emergency. I sent them Driver license and Insurance information and requested to hold it. After few hours salesperson called me and said the vehicle just sold. Very disappointed, I live in Virginia and i have already got the nonrefundable ticket to get there.Please stay away from them, Very unprofessional experience. More

We purchased a 2011 Prius on Friday night, December 21st late at night. We asked to to see the carfax and it was clean and Jack and Robia told us the car was in mint condition. When we got home and woke u late at night. We asked to to see the carfax and it was clean and Jack and Robia told us the car was in mint condition. When we got home and woke up Saturday morning the front bumper was wrecked AND duct taped! We went in to give it back and they told us it would be fixed. REALLY??? We got a complete run around all week from them and everyone giving us different information. They were going to tow our car and did after a week and decided it was only worth $200 even though the blue book is $2200. The KICKER.... The GENERAL MANANGER told us today, December 29th that HE and ALL of them knew that the car was wrecked but sold it anyway and didn't disclose it. We are trying to get out of this agreemement but they told us we can't. Let's see if we can but I would NEVER give this dealership any business again!!!!! More
On 10/01/2012 we were offered a deal to buy a new 2012 Toyota Sienna LE for $30000 with 400 miles on it and 72 months financing (1st 4 years at 1.99% APR, next 1 year at 2.99% APR and anything after that Toyota Sienna LE for $30000 with 400 miles on it and 72 months financing (1st 4 years at 1.99% APR, next 1 year at 2.99% APR and anything after that at some higher rate). But when we walked in we were offered a 2012 car with more than 4000 miles in it. When we complained they accepted their mistake and gave us a 2013 Toyota Sienna LE for $30000 with 385 miles. After running my credit check and almost after most of the paper work was done, their sales guy came and said they cannot do it for $30000 and we have to pay $32000+ for the car. After complaining and arguing for sometime they accepted their mistake again and made it $30000. After all done and I made changes to my insurance, the number plates were changed, my current loan payoff was planned and then they called us for the final finance paper work. When we went in they said they cannot do the loan for anything less than 6.99% APR for 72 - 84 months. When we opposed and told them what payment APR plan we were told before they totally disagreed and also after their sales guy accepted in front of the finance guys what he committed to us, those finance guys did not accept it. And then we decided to walk out of the deal and asked them to return us all the papers I signed and also copy of the credit report they ran for me. They straight away denied to return them back. After a long heated argument they gave a few papers back to me. This whole episode started from the phone calls they made to my husband about the deal since this morning and that is what made us to go there at around 7 pm that day and after everything and waiting there and doing every paper work till 9:30 pm we come out with nothing but humiliation. TERRIBLE sales experience. Our salesman lied to us and then followed that with threats and verbal abuse. Having been customers of this dealership for over 15 years apparently means nothing to them as we then followed that with threats and verbal abuse. When asked for the owners information to lodge a complaint we were told that the owner would forward the complaint to the person we were already dealing with as he does not get involved in these matters. This makes me believe that the owner endorses such behavior from his employees and also does not care about his customers. Have never been treated so poorly by a "professional". More
