I was casually looking for Eric Tunkle was a pleasure to work with! I had stopped by the used car lot one afternoon and Eric came out to greet me. I was casually looking for a p/u truck for myself, but mostly for a larger vehicle (minivan) for my girlfriend, who regularly babysits her 3 growing grandchildren...all boys. Eric and I spoke for a bit without any pressure from him. He offered me his card, but did not ask for any of my information beyond my first name. I stopped by on a few more afternoons looking at various vehicles. Eric always came out to greet me and offer insight to the inventory. On one occasion, I looked at a minivan but Eric advised against it, stating that "its not for you". I was impressed with the fact that he was not just 'out to make a sale'! During my third visit to the lot, I felt that he understood my needs. I offered him my phone number. He said he would be in touch when "the right vehicle" was available. A few days later, I received a call from Eric. He informed me that a very clean one-owner Sienna minivan, originally sold by Sloane, had been traded in. He felt that it was "right" and would fit her needs! I stopped by to see the vehicle and discuss price. I told him that we would be back the following day for a test ride. The vehicle was very clean with low mileage for its age. We informed Eric that we would need to discuss the cost over dinner and get back to him. Again...there was no pressure from him. Before we left, I asked what was the "off-the-lot cost" of the vehicle. In my opinion, it was a very fair price. We returned a short time later that evening to complete the transaction. We were introduced to the Anessa, who was equally as easy to deal with in completing the financial piece of the process. The next day, we found a few minor issues with the vehicle... a taillight was out and the key fob was working only intermittently. And, there was some confusion with the operation of the interior lights. I called Eric to discuss. He had us stop by that afternoon and the issues were addressed immediately. I can understand why he is successful at his work. He is, without a doubt, very customer oriented. Because of Eric's no-pressure approach and professionalism, I would recommend him and Glenside Sloane to any friend that was car shopping. fyi... he's got his eye out for a p/u truck for me! More
