I first went to look at the car around closing time on a Friday evening. I test drove the car at that time and liked it. Because it was close to closing time, I told them I would be back in the morning wi Friday evening. I test drove the car at that time and liked it. Because it was close to closing time, I told them I would be back in the morning with my wife to show her and drive it again. Before leaving that night, I talked with Mark and was telling him that I was very interested in the car. Mark at that time had said when we actually sit down and look at the paperwork, that we could talk about possible negotiations on the dealer fee as the car had sat on their lot for around 160 days with no interest in it. I then made an appointment with Chase to come back first thing Saturday morning to test drive the car again. When we arrived, Chase had the car out front waiting for us. My wife and daughter went in to use the restroom, while my son and I waited for them to come back out, another salesman came up to Chase and said, "I have driver for the Grabber-Green Mustang. Can I take it out really quick?" Then I replied to the other salesman, "No, I just drove 2 hours for the second time to drive this car. We are taking it right now!" When we came back from our test drive, I told Chase we were very interested and wanted to go in and talk numbers. As we were walking back into the building, the other "Driver" got into the car we wanted and took it for a test drive!! We sat down and Chase put an offer in front of me that they already had put together. The offer was full price and full dealer fees, I countered with an offer that Chase took to Mark to review and when Chase came back he told me they would not except my offer, as the other "Driver" that took the car for a test drive as soon as we got back, had said he would pay full asking price right now. The "Driver" had apparently offered that while we were out on our test drive. I countered offered one more time, trying to negotiate the dealer fee that Mark and I had talked about the night before. At that time, I was then told that they were about ready to pull any offer off the table and have me just move on, so that I could not get the car no matter what. I really wanted the car, so I accepted the price and signed the offer paperwork that Chase had for me. I then had to go talk to the underwriter, Tyler Cassidy, and sign all his paperwork that he had for me. That was going fine until he put down a Credit Application for Skyline Mitsubishi that he wanted me to sign. I told him that I was paying a cash down payment that was more than half the cost of the vehicle and that I would bring the rest of the cash within the week when I came to pick up the car. He then repeatedly insisted that I needed to sign the Credit Application form and kept pushing it towards me to sign. I finally asked him if signing that application was going to be a deal breaker or not, to which he replied, no, it was not. From that point on he seemed extremely irritated and frustrated, and basically flung the remaining forms that needed signed across the desk to me. He then wanted me to buy a Warranty Plan and became even more upset when I refused to buy their Warranty Plan also. By this point, I was extremely disgusted with the type of people that I had dealt with thus far at Skyline Mitsubishi, that the thought of having to bring my car back to them for any kind of service in the future was repulsive. Once I got this car, I wanted nothing more to do with this company. A few days later, Tyler called me to ask if I was sure I didn't want Skyline Mitsubishi's help with financing the remaining balance for the car. Again, I declined needing their assistance and explained to him, again, that I already had the finances to pay the remaining balance. A week later, I returned with the balance and to pick up my car, as promised. I understand they are in the business to make money, but their professionalism is lacking. I will never do business with them again, nor will I refer them to anyone. More
Chris Lwas super accommodating and amazing to work with. He made the process of buying a car incredibly easy and simple; especially with it being my first time buying one. He made the process of buying a car incredibly easy and simple; especially with it being my first time buying one. More
