I bought a new truck from Sir Walter Chevrolet in November of 2021. I was told it should be delivered in 2-3 weeks. Unfortunately GM was slow to get it delivered and when January of 2022 rolled around with the truck no closer to making it to the dealership I was beyond frustrated. So after 2 months of waiting and no updates from GM the dealership worked a deal, letting me trade the undelivered truck on an even nicer truck. Yes, it did cost me a little more but they made every effort to keep the price down to make up for GM’s problem of not being able to deliver a vehicle. The sales person I worked with was McKayla. I buy/trade vehicles more than most so I have dealt with my fair share of sales persons. If you are considering purchasing from Sir Walter do yourself a favor and call Mckayla and set up a time to come in so that you can work with her; if a deal can be done she will make it happen. Two managers, Jeremy and Brian, were working behind the scenes to make sure I was satisfied and to ensure I got the best price possible. It was a frustrating experience to say the least but it was not the dealerships fault so I don’t blame them. In the end it all worked out and Sir Walter Chevrolet will get the opportunity to earn my business again in the future. Great job Sir Walter Chevrolet, I’ll see you on the next one 👍. More
Drove and hour and a half for a truck that was supposedly on hold only to be told upon arrival it was sold 30 minutes prior. Not worth the business in my opinion. on hold only to be told upon arrival it was sold 30 minutes prior. Not worth the business in my opinion. More
In March 2021 I bought a new Silverado Custom Trailboss (5.3L) THE BIG ISSUE: I am hearing a ticking noise from the engine. If you google this you will find many people experiencing this due to a bad b (5.3L) THE BIG ISSUE: I am hearing a ticking noise from the engine. If you google this you will find many people experiencing this due to a bad batch of parts that were put into trucks right around the time mine was manufactured. It will lead to severe engine issues. GM is aware of this but the repairs are taking longer than usual due to supply issues. They have also suspended the loaner vehicle program due to supply issues. (I understand supply issues are global right now and I am sympathetic to that) I was trying to figure out a solution to have my truck diagnosed in a way that would be most convenient for me. They were trying to buy my truck and sell me a new one instead of trying to figure out how to help me with my problem. They were extremely pushy with this. “If you don’t like your truck and it is giving you problems why don’t you sell it back to us and let us put you in something new” They wanted my V8 and wanted to sell me a 4 cylinder. I spent 2 hours there while the sales person kept saying they would go see if they could do anything to help with my service issue. Each time they came back with a different sales pitch to get me in a new truck. I have a brand new expensive truck and I have to worry about it breaking down and stranding me somewhere. I haven’t had that worry since I was a broke college student. Service Experiences: 1st oil change and tire rotation took 1.5 hours with an appointment. On the 2nd oil change and tire rotation I asked how long it would take and they quoted 1.5 hours again. They said there was a line of cars that came in ahead of me. I mentioned that was the point of making an appointment and that the wait time was excessive. They finished in under 30 minutes. I would not recommend working with this dealership or buying GM. More
Justin Reed is awesome salesman no issues with him. Customer Service is terrible. I waited over 2 hours to get my car detailed and set up on on-star. No updates Customer Service is terrible. I waited over 2 hours to get my car detailed and set up on on-star. No updates More
I purchased a 2014 Traverse LTZ I was told that it went through a rigorous 140 point inspection. I asked about taking the car to a mechanic to have it checked out and was told that was not possible. The ca through a rigorous 140 point inspection. I asked about taking the car to a mechanic to have it checked out and was told that was not possible. The car drove fine during the test drive but 2.5 weeks later it started having serious issues. The power steering started having issues, I checked it and there was no power steering fluid in the car. So I took it back to the dealership and they wanted to charge me $150 to diagnose the issue, for a car I just purchased. I then decided to take it to a friend of mine and what he found was more than a power steering issue. The power steering pump is out and also has a leak. The rack and pinion also has to be replaced. The water pump is out and all of the motor mounts are broken. I was only offered a 3 year warranty at the price of $3600. I am an unemployed disabled Marine Veteran, I cannot afford the additional cost it will take to have the car repaired. I have called the salesman who assured me that the sales manager would give me a call. That was a week ago and I still haven't heard anything. If this situation isn't resolved and made right, I will never shop here again and will use any form of media to let others know how this dealership treats America's veterans. Extremely disappointed. Update.....I noticed that you don't tend to respond to negative reviews. There is one you actually gave the manager's number out to on the post. I find it extremely disappointing, that to this day, I haven't heard a single word from anyone at this dealership. I had to sell this car and took a $4000 hit on it because I couldn't afford to make the necessary repairs that you should have made. You did nothing to make this right. You didn't even have the common decency to give me a call to see how we could work this out. You should be ashamed to do business like this. NOW I AM OFF TO LET EVERYONE I KNOW ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE. I WILL BE POSTING ON EVERY SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM I CAN FIND. I WILL ALSO BE FILING A COMPLAINT WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. More
I recently purchased a used vehicle from SWC and I must say that I was very impressed with the experience! The Receptionist was friendly, the Salespersons (Cameron Kriesner and Hasani Stapleton) was extrem say that I was very impressed with the experience! The Receptionist was friendly, the Salespersons (Cameron Kriesner and Hasani Stapleton) was extremely helpful in walking me through the process without hesitation. The vehicle was much cleaner than I expected and even after the sale, Cam and Hasani was always available to answer my questions patiently and I drove away with a superior used car that is proving to be worth every penny I invested Well Done! I made an appointment to I made an appointment to service my car for the first time since I purchased it new. I noticed I made an appointment to service my car for the first time since I purchased it new. I noticed when I checked in, that the service guys were somewhat heavy footed on the accelerator when taking the cars in the back. There were squeals from the tires when they took off. After more then 30 minutes waiting in the waiting area, listening to another customer on the phone , with his voice carrying through out the waiting room, I went to check on the progress of my car. I was told that this check up would take longer then the usual 90 minutes because of staffing issues. I asked the service guy why I wasn't told this to begin with and why would anyone make an appointment. I was told I would not have been seen without one. I told them I wanted my car. He came back and told me My car would be the second next car to go in. At least another 45 minutes. Why do they make you put a time on your appointment and accept it, if they don't adhere to it. I left without the service. I took it somewhere else got it done in the time waiting at this dealership. To top it off I received emails and texts from these guys like they were my best friends and everything went fabulous. I was talked into trying these guys from my sale guy ( who was great) because I had read their reviews before. They told me the dealership was trying to fix the issues and it would be better when I tried them. Guess what? NOT FIXED. Maybe it the management team that needs to be looked at. In my opinion don't use these guys, go to another dealership or somewhere else. More
I purchased my car from Sir Walter Chevrolet. The purchase process was okay. Shortly after, I needed a new battery which was within the warranty period. I had to remind them it was covered. The sec purchase process was okay. Shortly after, I needed a new battery which was within the warranty period. I had to remind them it was covered. The second battery died after the warranty expired. Sir Walter said the driver side door didn't close properly and the battery was being drained. This sounded ridiculous, so I went to John Hiester Chevrolet. They discovered a broken battery cable. In addition, they found that fluids that were supposedly topped off at a recent general servicing weren't at the proper level. I strongly recommend that no one use Sir Walter Chevrolet for service.
