Horrible Management To start, I have to say, I was shocked as to how this dealer treats its employees. I will say, there was a manager who did seem to care, Wendy, but sh To start, I have to say, I was shocked as to how this dealer treats its employees. I will say, there was a manager who did seem to care, Wendy, but she didn’t seem to be able to control the behavior of the managers beneath her. Let me explain. I started working for Sioux City Ford Lincoln about 2.5 months ago. My first month was a half month, I wasn’t expected to sell anything, but sold 8 cars in 13 days. The following month, I sold 16, and that was a slower moth for most everyone. I was the number 5 sales person out of 10 sales staff. Not bad, given I had just started. But, the Used Car Sales Manager, Jareed, had an issue one day, claiming I would be a better sales person to Billion Car dealerships. He then attempted to lie to Wendy to seem like he was innocent. I called him out, and had the New Car Sales Manager as a witness. I was obviously not lying, but the restitution came down the same. After this, I was excluded from receiving any sort of leads, which I confirmed was being handed out to all of the staff but me. Later, I asked my New Cars Sales Manager if I was allowed to put up photos of my family, and a thank you I received from President Donald Trump, whom was thanking me for my service in the Army, and my sacrifice because I am now a disabled veteran. I was told to take it down by Wendy, whom said the owner didn’t like seeing it. The owner, of a car dealership in Iowa, DOESN’T LIKE OUR PRESIDENT! I mean, I wouldn’t have cared what President it was, it is an honor to be thanked by the President of the United States of America. But, his apparent sensitivity to our president seemed to trump my sacrifice. The last straw was on 9/14/2019. I made a mistake. The manager confronted me, and I apologized. That said, the mistake I made was never explained to my prior, and my experience before with car dealerships, we did things differently. So, I had no way of knowing I was making a mistake. He then told our entire sales staff in a meeting, with the intent to embarrass me. How do I know that was his intent? He told me after, when I confronted him on this unprofessional behavior. I asked him initially if I can have a candid conversation with him, he agreed. I then told him that what he did was majorly unprofessional, and poor management. I explained that he never trained me, and threw me to the floor. He told me, well, you won’t do it again will you? My response was “No I won’t, but your humiliation tactics are not the reason why”. I told him that talking to me before was enough, and if he wanted to use it as an example, he could have done so without using my name and initially humiliating me. He told me, “That is how I do things, and if you don’t like it, you don’t have to work here”. A week later, I decided to quit. I implore you as a reader, do not do business, or work for such a unprofessional and unpatriotic company. It is a disgrace to the Ford brand, and a disgrace to our community. More
