Our story began in 1962 when Morris Silverleib, and his son Ira, opened their doors on South Main Street in Brockton.Over the years, Silko grew, and in 1973 added the Honda franchise to their fold. In 1994 I came to work with my father, adding the third generation to the mix. As our business continued to grow, we relocated our Honda dealership, one of the oldest in the United States, to Route 44 in Raynham in September of 2000. Although times have changed, one thing at Silko has remained the same; we sell and service cars one at a time. We are dedicated to making the Silko Experience one that you can enjoy and that we can be proud of. I went to Silko for an oil change, tire rotation and tire balance. I pulled into a bay when the opened. Jamie told me to get out of the car and meet him at his station. We went over everything I wanted done, I booked the appointment online. Jamie is not very friendly to begin with, no big deal. I went in the seating area and waited. Jamie came out gave me my papers and keys, I went and paid my bill and left. As I was driving home, over 40 miles away on 495, the tire pressure light came on. When I got home I looked at my tires, all seemed good, so I called Silko service and spoke with Jamie. He told me no big deal it’s just a reset and to come back and they would reset it, I was a little upset because it’s so far away from me, I told him I live over 40 miles away, he became cocky, rude and ever so pompous to me, he snapped “ well I can’t send someone to you!”, I said I’m not asking you to. He says it’s very simple to reset, press this button, s roll this, press this, look for this, look for that to come on your screen, well… I couldn’t find anything he was telling me to do, he starts getting frustrated with me as if I’m an idiot, he says it’s just a reset and very easy to do. He says just come then. I said what time do you close he take a big huge annoying breath and and says 6:30. I said I’ll be back although I shouldn’t have to since I just got service and left. He says “well, it’s not my fault.” So I said it certainly isn’t my fault, you/your department worked on my car and didn’t reset it, and it should have been. I then told him I didn’t like how he was talking to me, he says well your blaming me for it. Does he not work there? Does he not represent the company? I did not go back, I looked it up my crv booklet and reset it myself. I couldn’t reset it when he was telling me how to because low and behold….. that is NOT how to reset it. I did what the book said and didn’t even need to look for anything on the screen.
