The consumer letter does state the $32 credit is valid if the battery is the incorrect size (yours isn't) and that was his understanding. We will honor the $32 discount towards replacement of your battery. In fact I would like to offer a $65 discount which would cover the $32 and labor charges related to us replacing the battery at your convenience. Thank you for your response and offer for a discount. Can you give me an out the door price for the new battery including labor minus the discount? Also include the Group 35 level and the CCD level of your recommendation.

Sierra Toyota responded

A full replacement battery (including labor and taxes) is $184.62 for the proper 35 group battery. Toyota recommends 550 cold cranking amps and they need to be properly secured with the hold down. Your price for this repair is $119.62, which is out the door pricing.

I had the battery rechecked today at another vendor. The reading was 575/670 CCA. I have the documentation. This is better than the battery you are recommending. It remains properly installed as verified by your technician. I do appreciate your response and offer, but will defer for now
