I had an appointment on 12/11 with Dan, a friend of a friend. I explained my credit; Dan did a credit check, no problem. Approved! Rate was high, but lower than I expected. We picked out a car, crunc friend. I explained my credit; Dan did a credit check, no problem. Approved! Rate was high, but lower than I expected. We picked out a car, crunched numbers and the deal came to about $370/month after all the fees and tax. I told him 2-3 times that I didn't want to take the car home until there was a 100% sure deal. He repeatedly reassured me I was good to go. Dan explained that he is going to have me meet and sign the paperwork with Rob S. in finance. He told me Rob was great and knows that my budget is strict so he won't sell me anything that I don't need. Perfect! So I meet Rob and he sells me GAP insurance. I was ok with that. It was only $305 so would only add another $6-7 to my monthly payment. In talking to Rob I repeatedly brought up the quoted monthly payment on the car and Rob agreed. Then once GAP was added I REPEATEDLY said that will bring the payment up to around $380. He again agreed each time. In the course of talking to him, I told him OVER AND OVER that I was concerned about the financing and didn't want to take the care home with out it being final. He told me there was nothing to worry about; he wouldn't let me take it if he was at all concerned that there would be an issue. I told him 11 times that I was concerned about the car and 11 times he reassured me not to worry. So we went over the paperwork. Rob breezed through the paperwork with me. Didn't go over details with me, I didn't question him, I felt I had been assured and educated enough at that point to know what I was signing. Keep in mind that with GAP insurance, taxes and fees, that I was expecting to be paying around $380 a month for 60 months. So all is signed and Rob tells me TWICE that he will call me Tuesday to finalize the dear. So I leave in the car. On Monday I fax him requested documents and he confirmed he received them - but never calls. Thursday I email him, mildly annoyed at this point. He tells me he'll check on things and will call me Friday afternoon. Friday, then the weekend comes and goes. No word from Rob. I email him on Monday (I have had the car 8 days now) pretty irritated at this point. He replies saying the deal had been declined. But they were trying to package the loan somehow to get another bank to approve it. Wait, I was told that it was a sure deal. They're not coming back with a higher rate; they're coming back with an outright denial? He says they're working on something and he will get back to me in a week or so. Next day someone calls - they have a deal - he doesn't know the terms of the deal. I call Rob - he doesn't know the terms of the deal, tells me to call Alex. I call Alex - Alex doesn't know anything. Asks me why I was told to call him. Says he will find out and call me in 15 min Dan calls - tells me I was approved but doesn't know the terms of the deal. Asks when I am going to come in so he can be there. I call back leave a message for Alex. Rick calls me back. Finally someone knows the term. It took me talking to 5 people to find out the terms. The next day before going to make a new deal, I read over all my paperwork. I notice the monthly payment I agreed to (the one Rob skipped over) was $80 HIGHER than we had repeatedly discussed. There were add-ons for seat protection etc. I call and set up and appointment to meet with the GM. I was told he would call me to confirm. He doesn't. I show up to meet with him and get told he will meet with me shortly. He doesn't. After 10 minutes two boys (early 20s?) come over and introduce themselves. I explain I wasn't here to talk to them I was waiting for the GM. They go to find him. He never shows his face. The General Sales Manager finally comes to talk to me. He looks concerned after I spill over every detail (like I am here) but never once apologizes. Introduces me to Rick, doesn't tell him anything we just talked about other than I was upset. He text messages me the next day saying the approval is done at an even higher rate! That is 3 different rates I was given, 2 of them in less than 24 hrs from the same lender? They increased my rate by over 7%. Rick also never apologizes. Tells me he did the best he could. I ask how the rate changed within 24 hours. He never responded back. More
After purchasing a new car here and feeling swindled out of my hard earned money for the car and extras, I was told that I was purchasing certain MPP maintenance plans covering oil changes... Also, I was t of my hard earned money for the car and extras, I was told that I was purchasing certain MPP maintenance plans covering oil changes... Also, I was told in purchasing the car that by buying the Paintless Dent Repair that it would paint over any chips/dings in the car fitting into a small circle diameter. Also, I was told that in purchasing the SkyLink Theft that I could monitor or track my vehicle anywhere, including where I travel and how fast I drive. After bringing my car on several occasions to this dealer for the oil changes/Zactec, I have had to battle with them every time whether or not I have these above coverages that I paid for with my car. After this last dealing, it was determined that the oil change plan was not included in the final sale price...eventhough they told me that the MPP included it when purchasing the car. My experiences have been Very Bad as a result of this. I feel like they took advantage of me as a woman, telling me that I was purchasing plans that I wanted, but then not actually doing what they said. I feel like they lied to me to get me to purchase all of the extras. They did not tell me that in order to be able to track my car on SkyLink, I would have to purchase a monthly plan additionally. As a result of all of this, I will NOT recommend this dealer to anyone! More

When we first pulled into the dealership Eric was walking around with 3 or 4 other people following him. We found out he was walking the cars and training the new sales people. If they can learn his people skills and product knowledge... they will go far in any industry. By the way.. great recipe for Salmon! (He used to be a Chef) More

I was sold an uninspected vehicle with expired tires and have had constant problems since purchase date. even with warenty the dealership offers no help. I had a blow out on the freeway and the only help of have had constant problems since purchase date. even with warenty the dealership offers no help. I had a blow out on the freeway and the only help offered was to pay me back for the tires that blew. the vehicle had low fluids a dirty air filter, and the transmission is not functioning correctly. Even knowing the vehicle is a lemon the dealership has not offered any solutions to the growing number of problems im experiencing with the vehicle. Aslo front engine mount is broen and the shop was well aware of this when they fixed the broken crankshaft seal days after purchase. The car ran great for a couple days then it started to show problems. The honda staff shoed no remorse and has no intention of solving the vehicles growing problems. I do not reccoment anyone buying a used car from them. they will cover up any past problems and do not inspect the vehicles correctly. your better off buying a new car from another dealership then to be xxxxx by the staff at showcase honda. Does customer service exist at Honda? I think not and here is why! I have had bad experiences at another dealer, Bell Honda. The experiences started with misspelling my name in their system. Then I w here is why! I have had bad experiences at another dealer, Bell Honda. The experiences started with misspelling my name in their system. Then I was told my REAR brakes needed replacing after only 16,000 miles. I have never had my rear brakes wear down, but the implication was that I was driving with my parking brakes on. Now I go to Showcase Honda for a warranty recall service bulletin. The service adviser that greeted me correctly spelled my name on the service order sheet that I signed, but when I received the paperwork I noticed that my name was misspelled. If Honda can't train their people to be faithful in the little details then how can they be expected to be faithful in the larger details such as an oil or transmission service. More
The experience itself was a nightmare. If you are FEMALE stay far, FAR away from showcase honda. I went in there with a male friend about a month ago. I was the one purchasing the car, but it seemed as thou stay far, FAR away from showcase honda. I went in there with a male friend about a month ago. I was the one purchasing the car, but it seemed as though the salesman i dealt with could not comprehend that I was buying the car, and not my friend. My friend would even look at him and tell him not to sell him, but rather me. It was funny in a sense, that this man really thought that because I was female, I had no idea what kind of car i wanted, and needed my male friend to figure it out for me. Then once we found the car i was interested in, (about an hour after he tried to convince my friend of everything else on the lot), we started talking price. Keep in mind I had been to quite a few honda dealerships and I did my homework, so I knew what my ballpark price should be. At first, he handed me the MSRP price, I laughed and walked out. Two days later (suprise suprise) I was called by them telling me that they had a similar car and they could give me it at my out the door price. No thank you, I want the one I saw. They convinced me to come back in and we would work on the price of the car I wanted. They claimed the will pay for my gas and fill up my tank as long as I come in. Again, we spent over an hour negotiating the price of the car I originally wanted. (the only perk of this miserable experience was getting a decent price). Now here comes the fun PART.. We agreed on an interest rate. I did the math while he walked off to the "finace guy" to calculate my payment. When he came back, the payment was $40 over what number i calculated. He tells me that i obviously dont know how to calculate an interest rate and I am wrong. He tells me to sign a paper saying I agree to make that monthly payment. I say “nope, not until your number matches mine”. I even re-calculated it infront of him and he still tells me I am wrong. (Apparently the "finance guy"is always correct). He brought the paper back to the "finace guy" 3 different times before the number matched mine!!!! I was appalled at this point - had I not been able to calculate a payment, I would be paying at a higher rate without my knowledge. That is illegal. Next - it took literally 3 hours to go through finance. I wish I was kidding. The guy was absolutely horrible to work with. (i want to say his name is Don?) Apparently he was new. He was rude, and absolutely OBNOXIOUS. He refused to honor the interest rate that I got. I waited 3 hours to speak with him, just to hear THAT! Are you kidding me!! I was IRATE at this point! I put the keys on the table, and was about to walk out, but miraculously, at this point, my interest rate was ok to honor. (hmm…weird they honored my rate when I was about to walk out). Oh and as I was leaving I reminded them that they needed to fill up my gas tank like they had promised, but unfortunately they could not hold true to their word because they do not have diesel fuel. Of course they don’t. Ha ha. The only good thing is I got a decent price on my car. Go to Showcase Honda if you are willing to waste an entire day of your life, get a bit agitated, and raise your blood pressure a bit to get a decent price. Oh and please dont forget your calculator! They make you feel that you aren't getting the run around or being rushed. I would recommend my salesman Peter Dammar to anyone looking to buy a new or used car in Arizona. Even if this dealership is out of your way, they work with you over the phone and it's worth the drive to deal with this wonderful group. Thanks again! More
