I purchased a 2012 CRV. The majority of my negotiations were via email with my salesperson, Terrance, as I own a small business and didnt have time to speak over the phone or go in person just to get initi were via email with my salesperson, Terrance, as I own a small business and didnt have time to speak over the phone or go in person just to get initial information. I appreciated their willingness to negotiate down to the final detail via email. I paid the exact amount written in the final conversation (which of course I printed and brought with me). You can never seem to escape buying a new car in less than 2-3hours and this was the case with Showcase Honda as well. Some of the time cant be avoided due to paperwork but a portion of the time was "building my customer experience" which was a tour of the massive facility with facts, etc about the dealership. I am sure there is a marketing/customer retention reason behind that but I had made it very clear by negotiating via email that I am short on time....wished they would have picked up on my lack of response to any of the "tour facts" that I don't really care and just want my keys! I felt bad being rude but after a while I just stopped responding to the salespersons remarks in an effort to keep him moving on. Not a bad experience- some people might even enjoy that- but just know you will be hanging around there for a while during the purchase process. My salesperson did a great job when a few snags came up- not only resolving them without any issue but also threw in a few oil change certificates. Again, my out the door price was firmly set via email before I arrived at the dealer so going through paperwork with the financing agent was a breeze. There were the standard sales pitches on warranties but when I explained that my brother in law is a mechanic they backed off knowing they cant top "free labor/parts at cost" I get from my family (I am fortunate)! I would shop here again without hesitation. More
Customer service would have been great. Everything went well through the purchase, trade, financing. I declined certain extras with the salesperson and it was left at that. Things went downhill as soon a well through the purchase, trade, financing. I declined certain extras with the salesperson and it was left at that. Things went downhill as soon as I headed to finance. First I spent nearly 30 minutes doing the back and forth routine over warranties, GAP insurance, tire protection, security etc etc. I believe if someone says they are not interested, then that's it. Leave it alone. I felt as though I was constantly being pushed into buying something I did not want. I was offered it essentially "free" by the wording. In reality, they were lowering the interest rate, and adding in the extras. So in reality, you are still paying for them. This is the only reason I would not recommend. The final problem occurred after I got home. I was looking over all the order/contract paperwork more closely and found there was $495 added in that was no where to be itemized. When I finally was able to reach someone, it was found that the $495 was Paint treatment for 5 years (yes, the stuff I originally declined). And what's worse...you wouldn't really know it since it was not itemized anywhere. This is EXTREMELY misleading. It wouldn't have been found had the numbers not been added up. In the end, I am getting the entire amount refunded. But, it should not have occurred in the first place. Purposefully deceiving someone is wrong and for this reason I will not be returning there for my next vehicle purchase. More
My daughter was looking for a very specific car (Civic SI) This car was nowhere to be found. After being told that she would have it in a couple of weeks (complete falsehood) we were put in touch with D SI) This car was nowhere to be found. After being told that she would have it in a couple of weeks (complete falsehood) we were put in touch with Deneen Smeraldo at Showcase Honda. Deneen was straightforward and honest with my daughter and I. She explained how the car had to be ordered, built and delivered. She made it very clear that it could take up to four months. Every couple of weeks she called and brought us up to date on the information she had available. During this time my daughter's current vehicle broke down and Deneen went above and beyond and arranged for her to have a rental car until her car was delivered. As soon as Deneen had a delivery date she contacted us and introduced us to James Husgen. James is an amazing financial coordinator and worked through some very stressful moments with my daughter and I to get the payments and financial arrangement to where we needed them. He has a sense of humor and patience almost unheard of in the auto industry. I have dealt with alot of car dealers in my long life and I have to say with complete honesty that Showcase Honda goes above and beyond to make their customers happy. So if you see a young girl with a big smile driving a very NICE Civic SI in the west valley you know where to go to look like that. More
On February 18, 2012 I had over $1,000.00 of service work done to my 1999 Honda CR-V. My Service Advisor was #107, Dereck Smith. I was EXTREMELY pleased with both the attention to detail of my Service Adviso done to my 1999 Honda CR-V. My Service Advisor was #107, Dereck Smith. I was EXTREMELY pleased with both the attention to detail of my Service Advisor Mr. Smith, as well as the professional mechanical service that was provided. Mr. Smith is a natural for his responsibilities - outstanding communication skills as well as better than average service / mechanical knowledge base. He builds customer trust in the Showcase Honda service department. I have owned automobiles and had then serviced for sixty years and without a doubt, Showcase Honda is the best dealership I have ever had the pleasure of being associated with. The mechanical staff and their work are first class. I appreciate the peace of mind of knowing when I drive out, the service has been properly done and the vehicle will operate as originally designed. Showcase is far from what it used to be. First off, when they bring you the payment amounts for the vehicle, it's far above the actual payment amount. We were looking at purchasing a $25k car with $10k(trad they bring you the payment amounts for the vehicle, it's far above the actual payment amount. We were looking at purchasing a $25k car with $10k(trade in) down and they quoted us nearly $500 a month for 72 months and 5.79% APR. When we stated that was high, they offered to drop the payment down to under $300, claiming they would give us more for the trade in and lower the price of the car. The payment should have started below the $250 mark. Secondly, I've purchased 4 different vehicles from Showcase over the years, each time trading in my current car and NEVER have I had any issues until now. They took my keys and REFUSED to give them back. It was only after 20 minutes and us threatening to call the cops that they handed them back to us with a snide remark. The reason I wanted my car keys back? They didn't have the Honda I wanted in stock, so they were going to sell me what they had or they weren't letting me leave. More
THIS IS MY SECOND PURCHASE WITH THIS DEALERSHIP AND WORKING WITH TODD LONG. PURCHASING A VEHICLE IS NOT HIGH ON MY LIST OF "FUN" THINGS TO DO, BUT I HAVE TO SAY IT WAS FUN GETTING TO KNOW BRANDY THROUG WORKING WITH TODD LONG. PURCHASING A VEHICLE IS NOT HIGH ON MY LIST OF "FUN" THINGS TO DO, BUT I HAVE TO SAY IT WAS FUN GETTING TO KNOW BRANDY THROUGH THE COURSE OF WORKING OUT MY PURCHASE. WHEN THE CHIPS WERE DOWN AND AND THE DEAL WAS UNCERTAIN, BRANDY WAS A BEACON OF LIGHT. TODD LONG HAS MADE THE IMPOSSIBLE, POSSIBLE NOT ONCE BUT TWICE FOR ME. WHAT ANY OTHER DEALERSHIP WOULD HAVE WALKED AWAY FROM, TODD MANAGED TO PULL IT ALL TOGETHER. SO TODD IS MY KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOR. I DROVE OFF SHOWCASE HONDA'S LOT WITH TEARS OF JOY IN MY EYES. THANK YOU TODD AND BRANDY FOR MAKING IT POSSIBLE FOR ME AND MY DAUGHTER TO HAVE SUCH A BEAUTIFUL AWESOME HONDA! I WILL BE BACK TO DO BUSINESS WITH SHOWCASE HONDA TO PURCHASE MY NEXT HONDA. I HAVE RATED THIS DEALERSHIP SO HIGH BECAUSE THEY HAVE EARNED MY BUSINESS, NOT AN EASY THING TO DO. More
I bought my Honda in Arizona, given paperwork to take home to Missouri to title the car, along with 90 day tags. I do not have ANY of the paperwork I need to Title this car in Missouri, (a Title state), home to Missouri to title the car, along with 90 day tags. I do not have ANY of the paperwork I need to Title this car in Missouri, (a Title state), since I was not given a certificate of origin on the car nor a title. STILL cannot license my car, after 4 months, AND no one from dealership will call me back. My salesman no longer works there, and finance office will not return my calls. I would NEVER recommend this dealership... I CANNOT EVEN DRIVE MY NEW CAR!!!!!!! More

Everyone there is very friendly know their information. They are great at explaining the differences between financing a car or leasing it. At first I just came in to just look around but then Daniel S cam They are great at explaining the differences between financing a car or leasing it. At first I just came in to just look around but then Daniel S came in and introduce himself and asked what I was looking for in a friendly matter, he then mention he could check to see what I could afford very quickly. However, something I would suggest is making the process a little faster. It took me almost the whole day just to get a lease for a car. Overall, great quality work from Showcase Honda. I will definitely recommend this dealership to my friends and family members. More
I had an appointment on 12/11 with Dan, a friend of a friend. I explained my credit; Dan did a credit check, no problem. Approved! Rate was high, but lower than I expected. We picked out a car, crunc friend. I explained my credit; Dan did a credit check, no problem. Approved! Rate was high, but lower than I expected. We picked out a car, crunched numbers and the deal came to about $370/month after all the fees and tax. I told him 2-3 times that I didn't want to take the car home until there was a 100% sure deal. He repeatedly reassured me I was good to go. Dan explained that he is going to have me meet and sign the paperwork with Rob S. in finance. He told me Rob was great and knows that my budget is strict so he won't sell me anything that I don't need. Perfect! So I meet Rob and he sells me GAP insurance. I was ok with that. It was only $305 so would only add another $6-7 to my monthly payment. In talking to Rob I repeatedly brought up the quoted monthly payment on the car and Rob agreed. Then once GAP was added I REPEATEDLY said that will bring the payment up to around $380. He again agreed each time. In the course of talking to him, I told him OVER AND OVER that I was concerned about the financing and didn't want to take the care home with out it being final. He told me there was nothing to worry about; he wouldn't let me take it if he was at all concerned that there would be an issue. I told him 11 times that I was concerned about the car and 11 times he reassured me not to worry. So we went over the paperwork. Rob breezed through the paperwork with me. Didn't go over details with me, I didn't question him, I felt I had been assured and educated enough at that point to know what I was signing. Keep in mind that with GAP insurance, taxes and fees, that I was expecting to be paying around $380 a month for 60 months. So all is signed and Rob tells me TWICE that he will call me Tuesday to finalize the dear. So I leave in the car. On Monday I fax him requested documents and he confirmed he received them - but never calls. Thursday I email him, mildly annoyed at this point. He tells me he'll check on things and will call me Friday afternoon. Friday, then the weekend comes and goes. No word from Rob. I email him on Monday (I have had the car 8 days now) pretty irritated at this point. He replies saying the deal had been declined. But they were trying to package the loan somehow to get another bank to approve it. Wait, I was told that it was a sure deal. They're not coming back with a higher rate; they're coming back with an outright denial? He says they're working on something and he will get back to me in a week or so. Next day someone calls - they have a deal - he doesn't know the terms of the deal. I call Rob - he doesn't know the terms of the deal, tells me to call Alex. I call Alex - Alex doesn't know anything. Asks me why I was told to call him. Says he will find out and call me in 15 min Dan calls - tells me I was approved but doesn't know the terms of the deal. Asks when I am going to come in so he can be there. I call back leave a message for Alex. Rick calls me back. Finally someone knows the term. It took me talking to 5 people to find out the terms. The next day before going to make a new deal, I read over all my paperwork. I notice the monthly payment I agreed to (the one Rob skipped over) was $80 HIGHER than we had repeatedly discussed. There were add-ons for seat protection etc. I call and set up and appointment to meet with the GM. I was told he would call me to confirm. He doesn't. I show up to meet with him and get told he will meet with me shortly. He doesn't. After 10 minutes two boys (early 20s?) come over and introduce themselves. I explain I wasn't here to talk to them I was waiting for the GM. They go to find him. He never shows his face. The General Sales Manager finally comes to talk to me. He looks concerned after I spill over every detail (like I am here) but never once apologizes. Introduces me to Rick, doesn't tell him anything we just talked about other than I was upset. He text messages me the next day saying the approval is done at an even higher rate! That is 3 different rates I was given, 2 of them in less than 24 hrs from the same lender? They increased my rate by over 7%. Rick also never apologizes. Tells me he did the best he could. I ask how the rate changed within 24 hours. He never responded back. More
