I told him of the all inclusive 5 Year maintenance plan I had purchased and he looked it up to verify if my oil change was covered as I had expected. This is why people don't trust car dealerships I received what I thought was a decent bid ($22, 874) for a 2018 Honda accord Sport. After explaining in detail through texts that I did NOT want to do all of the haggling and I was specifically coming to him because of his bid, I drove almost an hour to this dealership. Yes, it's the same old bait and switch. After test driving and sitting to do the paperwork, the cost changed to $34,273. Please. There is no way adding tax and license should add $11,399. All the marking and changing the numbers to lower this number to make it seem like a better deal, does not change the fact that I had an email with the original bid. I really liked my salesman. He was nice and maybe they are all trained to do this but this is just not acceptable. I can't be the only one that refuses to play these games. Just keep it honest and please don't waste our time. More

Be very careful with the Finance Guy After dealing with Showcase Honda I will never again purchase another car from them. The salesman that I dealt with over the phone and in person was After dealing with Showcase Honda I will never again purchase another car from them. The salesman that I dealt with over the phone and in person was wonderful. The problems start when they get you to sit down with the finance guy. We walk through all this paperwork (which I should have been more careful to check all their figures) and then they try and push the extended warranties on you. We told the guy no twice, and then he brought in another woman who tried to get us to accept it. She finally said that adding it to the cost would increase our monthly payment by about $2, which doesn't make a lot of sense but we said okay as we had 2 kids with us and were tired of arguing with them. What she did was add an additional year onto our payments and increase the interest rate, we agreed to 5 years 0.9% (Honda promotion) and they increased in to 6 years 2.99% without telling us about it at all. The only reason we caught that was that my wife saw it on the final paper. When we pointed it out they quickly changed it back and sited a computer mistake and said it didn't come over that way. The other issue we had is the payoff value of our trade in, we talked with the salesman and finance guy about it multiple times (i've followed up with the finance guy but he doesn't want to listen). They tell us how they check the payoff amount which should have been about $10,100 (per the credit report or the credit union our current loan was with) but they then used the about $9,800 on the paper work. We asked multiple times what happens to the payment we have pending with the credit union, and they told us that we would get that money back. Then when we do get the refund back from the credit union it was $70 instead of the almost $400 we were expecting because the amount they paid was after my payment posted. This is definitely my fault as I should have caught them changing the amounts but on top of the first issue with the extended warranty I will never shop from this dealership again and hopefully this will protect other people from what I experienced. More
