Krista Perdue, our sales consultant, was very courteous, helpful, and patient as we explored our options. She did not apply any high-pressure tactics and her knowledge of the vehicles was outstanding. We v helpful, and patient as we explored our options. She did not apply any high-pressure tactics and her knowledge of the vehicles was outstanding. We visisted many dealerships in and around the DFW area searching for the best deal availalble - I felt that the satisfaction of the customer is a priority at Durant Toyota in Weatherford, Texas. The finance manager was also great to work with. I would highly reccommend Krista Perdue and Durant Toyota to anyone who is in the market for a new vehicle. Love Our Toyotas! More
I started this vehicle purchase late one night on the internet. When I awoke the next morning, I had already received an email from Joey Lishia(Internet Sales Manager). I replied to his email and over internet. When I awoke the next morning, I had already received an email from Joey Lishia(Internet Sales Manager). I replied to his email and over the next few hours we exchanged quite a few emails. He was curious as to what I was interested in, and was quite helpful in answering some questions that I already had. By that afternoon, he had already sent me a couple of detailed quotes with complete spec's and prices on vehicles that he felt might fit my desire. Joey was extremely courteous and patient with my questions, and by that afternoon I told him that we were to the point where I needed to come see him and look at some of the trucks in person and take a test drive or two. We set a time for the next day, as the dealership is about a 45-minute drive from my house. The next day I arrived a few minutes late for our appointment and Joey was waiting to greet me. He immediately struck me as a very personable person. As is usual, my first impression turned out to be 100% correct. Joey is as friendly and sincere as any car salesman I have ever worked with. Throughout the afternoon, he truly listened to what I was saying or asking and was in no hurry to move things any faster than I wanted them to go. Also, as I saw the trucks in person, I changed my mind on a number of options. Mostly deciding that I wanted extra options that I was not necessarily aware of from my internet shopping. He was expedient and thorough in tracking down a vehicle that met my new wishes. We finally found the vehicle that I was looking for, I just had to see it and drive it to know it. At this point, I suggested that it was probably time to talk price. It was less than a minute and he had an offer in front of me. Now, I didn't tell him, but that price was considerably lower than I ever expected him to start at. It was almost exactly the price I had worked out in my mind as a good deal. Just a FYI, when purchasing a new vehicle, I feel that 10% off the sticker is a good deal. The very first offer he made me that afternoon was roughly 9.5% off sticker. We then began to discuss my trade-in. This is when I said I thought that I needed to go home and sleep on it. This is where, in every previous experience purchasing new vehicles, that the salesperson does everything imaginable to keep you from leaving. Joey didn't even try to put any pressure on me, in fact he did basically the opposite. He asked me if I wanted them to hold the truck for me, to make sure it didn't get sold to someone else. I told him that would be great. He then told me if I would call him the next day when I started that way, that he would go ahead and have them detail the truck for me so that if I decided to make the purchase that it would be ready to go. This was a shock. I have never experienced such a no pressure, pleasant vehicle shopping experience. The next afternoon, I called Joey and let him know that I was heading over. He said that he would have everything ready. I arrived and found my truck to be in the showroom detailed to perfection. I wanted to look it over again and verify some of the options that I wanted, just to make sure that I was not overlooking anything. Joey continued to be his very personable, friendly self with all the patience in the world. He asked if I wanted to take another test drive, but I declined, I knew what I wanted. All that was left was to come to an agreement on price. They sent my trade-in for evaluation and Joey and I discussed the truck price. This negotiation can barely even be called that. They offered me exactly what my trade in was blue-booked at, and what I thought I should get for it. I then told them that if they would come down to 'x' price that we would have a deal. Joey said deal, and it was done. Again, this was the most enjoyable vehicle purchase I have ever been a part of. Buying a new vehicle should be fun. This is the only time that I can truly say that it was fun from start to finish. I then had to wait a few minutes for the finance person to arrive to take care of the paperwork. While this was going on, Joey and I were talking, and I came up with a couple of additional items I wanted to add to the truck. He said no problem that he would cover that. I got the paperwork filled out in roughly 15-minutes then Joey helped me get all the junk from my old truck transferred into my new one. At this point it was getting late, as I didn't even show up to the dealership until after 3pm. However, he was in no hurry as he described the numerous features that this truck has. He took his time to make sure that I understood everything that I needed to know and was in no hurry to get me out of there. One of the options I chose was something that had to be ordered and would take a couple of days to come in. He had placed the order before I left, and told me it should be in Tuesday(it was Friday at the time). He said he would call when it arrived and schedule a time for me to have it installed. Sure enough, he called Tuesday and got me an appointment for Wednesday, the next day. I showed up on time and they had me in and out in an hour. My Service Representative is Ryan Byars, who was also a consummate professional in his dealings with me. Very impressive. To add icing to the cake, Joey came by about the time they were finishing with my truck and filled it up with gas, again. This is certainly something that he didn't have to do, it's just the type of guy that he is. He really cares about his customers. I have never had a car salesperson that I would use again, let alone recommend to friends and family. Joey is the definite exception, because I will definitely use him again and have already told all of my family and friends just how great it was to deal with him, a true pleasure! I have spent most of this describing my experience with my salesperson, Joey Lishia. However, Ryan Byars, my Service Representative also deserves a huge Kudos. Besides the two times that I have been in to have additional options installed from the original purchase, where I was warmly greeted and thoroughly helped. He also took the time to answer a number of questions I had about various features of my truck. However, where he really took service to a level that I had no idea existed in the auto industry. I received a call from him maybe 3-weeks after my purchase, he told me he had just received a recall notice on my truck and wanted to schedule a time to check me out and make sure my truck was 100% operational. He scheduled me in for a couple of days later, where he got me in and out very quickly and even had my truck detailed out again. Just another example of the group at Durant Toyota really trying to go above and beyond what you get from any other dealership, anywhere. I have even owned more of the luxury line vehicles, and have never received this superb treatment from the sales staff, the service department and even the customer relations person, Rachel, has been nothing but bending over backwards to make sure I am 100% satisfied. In short, I cannot say enough goof things about my experience with Durant Toyota-Weatherford. Now everyone I passed by was friendly and helpful when I needed it, but I definitely want to thank and highly recommend Joey Lishia(Internet Sales Manager), Ryan Byars(Service Representative) and Rachel(Customer Relations). They are all exceptional! I have spoken with Joey and Rachel this week(4/05/10). They were simply calling to make sure that I was happy and did not have any questions. This is impressive, as I purchased the vehicle on 2/26/10). Best vehicle purchase I have ever made! More
Excellent dealership with extremely helpful parts and service departments. I own four Toyotas of various ages, and Ken Aronson, Rick Winters and Lamont Halstead consistently find parts quickly and accurately for even my 1980 Toyota. I have been driving Toyotas since 1989 and Durant Toyota is the most friendly, courteous and helpful parts department I have ever experienced (of any manufacturer). Their service department is also top-notch. Andy Scoggins was able to get an extended warranty repair approved near the end of the contract that saved me more than a thousand dollars and the work was done perfectly and quickly. So much more pleasant to deal with Durant than the big-city franchises. Well worth the trip to see them. More
Ken and Andy were fantastic to work with. I heard a noise that I could not identify the source of, and took it to Durant to diagnose. The team quickly identified the problem, then checked other areas to make that I could not identify the source of, and took it to Durant to diagnose. The team quickly identified the problem, then checked other areas to make sure only the front brakes were the cause. To be honest, I checked the price of a similar service (or at least sold by competitors as comparable) and found the price to be lower at other shops. I spoke to Ken and he was able to walk me through the benefits of having the work done at Durant as opposed to the other shops. Generally, I am not easily persuaded; however, Ken's approach and experience helped me decide to go with Durant. The brakes were done in less time than quoted, and the mechanics identified a couple other areas that required maintenance. Again, I am usually skeptical of "upselling" but the experience was such that I had the additional maintenance done also. I will continue to take my two Toyotas to Durant as long as the service continues to be as exceptional as it is with guys like Ken and Andy involved. Thanks. More
