The trust is gone. Bought a new Tacoma here in 2009. Love the truck and have had very good service until a few bad experiences recently. Took truck in for a leaf spring recall and was informed that my timing cover seal was leaking badly. 8 on scale of 1-10 according to the dealers service dept repair assessment printout. Was quoted $1600 since vehicle is now out of warranty. Decided to get a second opinion and took to a small local auto repair shop that my family has used and trusted for about 35 years with no bad experiences. They inspected the vehicle and found no evidence of any fluid leaks anywhere on the engine and even allowed me to come out into the shop while they had the truck on the lift so that I could see for myself. Dry as a bone. They told me they saw no evidence of any leaks on timing cover seal past or present or any other part of the engine for that matter and felt the vehicle was fine and needed no repairs and gave me a printed diagnosis stating exactly that. More

As a Senior citizen he was kind enough and thoughtful enough to explain things in detail over and over in such a way that this 81 year old man remembered all this new technology.
