Hello, My name is Kurt Kjornes and I'm the Service Manager here at Shottenkirk Toyota of Weatherford. I read your review that you provided for us and wanted to respond back personally. I can understand that needing a battery at 6,000 miles is hard to believe. What I can tell you is that unfortunately with the weather and temperature changes that we have experienced lately, it has affected more batteries than normal, regardless of age or mileage. We have seen more dead battery cases this month than in the last 2 months combined. I am very glad to hear that the Service Advisor Matthew was helpful and very nice to you, he is a phenomenal advisor and we are lucky to have him. As far as the Toyota roadside assistance program, it is true that Toyota roadside assistance will provide a tow to the nearest Toyota dealership (or the Toyota dealership of your choice within 25 miles of the nearest dealer). This is the program that they have put in place and we as a Toyota dealership follow. I understand the frustration with that. That is something that is in place per the Manufacturer and unfortunately I have no ability to fix. If you would like and haven't already of course, I would be more than happy to perform a battery test and replace the battery. If your vehicle is still under factory 3 year/ 36,000 mile warranty, we would be able to replace it under Toyota Warranty.
