So initially everything was fine in regards to the friendliness of the staff and vehicle selection available, especially in the market we find ourselves in today. The issue comes with the Shottenkirk friendliness of the staff and vehicle selection available, especially in the market we find ourselves in today. The issue comes with the Shottenkirk business practices which most describe as bait and switch. I was specifically looking for a Palisade, which they had a few that I was interested in. The price listed online as $50,990, but once they ran their "numbers" there was an extra $5500 added to the price. First was a ShottenCare of $2499 which is their 1 year warranty on typical items that hopefully won't be needed in the first year anyways.... and if those items did it would cost considerably less than $3500 they are charging. Additionally, there was a $2000 dealer reconditioning fee in which they claim was to get the vehicle prepared to fee. Please, for anyone reading this, do not pay for this. You as a customer should not cover the dealer's expense to prep a vehicle, it's their cost to do business. It should be priced into the price of the vehicle instead of an extra line item you get surprised with. And that's where the bait and switch come into play. You go into a dealer expecting to pay the price listed online, not get surprised with additional $5500 on top of the price of the vehicle. So just be aware, the price you see online is NOT the price you should expect to see when they bring you the price sheet. There's plenty of dealers around the area they are located that do not practice in this unethical business practices. Just be warned. If you are in the Central Texas area, Ken Batchelor Cadillac and Onion Creek Volkswagen both are dealers that will sell you a new or used vehicle without all the extra fees. Bottom line, avoid at all cost unless you like giving the dealer more money for no value. PS. I know the typical reply is these fees are listed on the website in the tiniest letters possible....but no one expects the fees to add up to $5500 so there's no one to explain that way. Again shady bait and switch. More

Service appointment was 9AM, 28 Dec 2021.. This was for a 10 thousand mile check. Female advisor checked me in. Found out that the lady who checked me in was not my service advisor. I was directed t a 10 thousand mile check. Female advisor checked me in. Found out that the lady who checked me in was not my service advisor. I was directed to my advisors work area, where’re I found him on the phone. Seemingly, on personal business. Waited approximately 5 minutes, to speak to him. He never acknowledged me. My vehicle was serviced? And pulled out to the receiving area. After waiting around 10/15 minutes, had to get another advisor to check me out. Total time at dealership: one and a half hours. If my truck needed a tire change, didn’t see that happen. Fluids were not topped off. I had to add windshield washer fluid. No new oil change sticker on inside windshield. Don’t know what else was not performed. Very disappointed. More

Jeff Logan is 5 star. Shottenkirk 2 star. You will have a reconditioning fee and a Shottenkirk special warranty fee that is non negotiable. They gonna have to be ready to get ridiculous dealer discount for me to defeat the $4995 reconditioning fee and the 1995 Shottenkirk warranty fee. More
