I took my 2021 ranger in for a oil change, and to have a bed toper installed. The installation was done in less than 3 hours. I feel the overall service was great. Wendall is great. Shottenkirk Ford people are great and represent the brand well. All the staff was awesome. If I could be a little critical of the experience, I would say that I didn't like the sticker-shock when I brought the truck back in to have the APIM installed. I was left to believe it would be about 2-3 hours of labor. Nothing was said about that costing another $740 on top of the $600 for the APIM. Now on to my gripe, this is with FORD. The Sync 3 APIM has been a disaster. I have had (3) Ford trucks with Sync3 APIMs and all have gone through at least 2. This should be taken care of from FORD at no cost. The APIM hardware is and was fine. The software gets scrambled and just needs to be reinstalled. However since NOBODY besides FORD knows how to do this we have to buy a NEW APIM and send the old one back to FORD. This is an embarrassment and a black eye on FORD. just like the Diesel CP3 issues these chronic failures should not be put on your loyal customers. I am seriously considering a different brand this year when I trade in my F-250 and the only reason is FORD Corporate not doing the right thing when they have egg on their face. More
