Hi, This is a HORRIBLE, UNSCRUPULOUS Dealership to do business with. I have been lied to numerous times by the two Finance/ Managers. Eddie Escobar and Ari Angulo kept saying it's the other one that is business with. I have been lied to numerous times by the two Finance/ Managers. I bought a 2022 Lexus LX600 Premium because I wanted White and it was in stock. I had been dealing with the salesman since July and was excited when he told me about the 2002 LX600 that was available and in stock on 11-23-2022. I had to work for almost a week with him and his manager Eddie to get the price down to what I paid. He turned me over to Ari and I gave them a $1,000 deposit on 11-29-2022. Ari let me know he was going to email me a link so I could E-sign most of the paperwork, which I received and signed. I then was told by Ari that he was overnighting the few forms that had to have original signatures. I said no problem and that I would sign them and overnight them back with their return envelope. It took two days to get to me on 12-01-2022. I overnighted it back and they received it on 12-02-2022. I told Ari that the cashier's check that I had let the salesman, Eddie and Ari know was coming out of a FL business account I had spoken to both of them and the salesperson about a week earlier and it was being overnighted on 11-30-2022. Ari then asked for a copy of the check, so they could get the deal on the LX600 counted into Novembers deals. It must or may have helped their numbers that they report to Lexus Corporate. I let Ari know that it would not be a problem and I emailed a copy of the check to Ari on 11-30-2022. They received the check on 12-01-2022 and have proof of delivery through UPS as with the other deliveries from FedEx. Ari tried telling me on 12-01-2022 that the check was no good and that he had spoken with some bank teller and even had his GSM in the room for one of the phone calls. I said that's impossible and had the bank manager call him on 12-01-2022 to verify funds. He never tried reaching out to me, I had to keep calling to finally reach him. When I did speak with Ari on 12-01-2022 after he spoke with the branch manager at the bank, he said everything was ok. I said if there was a problem overnight the check back and would have it wired back to him on 12-02-2022. He said no that would not be necessary and he would be having the check deposited on 12-02-2022. I even sent a picture of the bank account showing that the check was out of the account and that there was more than enough to cover a few checks worth what was sent to them. Then everyone went silent. I called, emailed and texted for days and days. The only response I received a few times until 4 days ago was that the check hadn't cleared yet. That's after I sent information close to a week ago showing as they obviously know that Cashiers checks clear the same day or next day after they are deposited. I called and spoke to Eddie on 12-08-2022 from a different number, so he would answer. He did and was very rude on the phone but did say that my Lexus LX600 as well as another 2022 LX600 were both still at the dealership. I then emailed Ari and another sales manager and he called within half an hour after vanishing for a week. He then told me that someone wired in money for both of the 2022 Lexus LX600's. I said how is that possible as you have deposited the cashiers check a week ago along with all the paperwork signed by me and him. He said it was not up to him but now it was up to someone above him. The comptroller, GM, it's just another way to pass the buck. He told me he would overnight the check and I said you have had the money for a week and to wire it back. He said he would after he got the wire instructions which he got later that day 12-08-2022. He and everyone has vanished again. The money has not been wired or a cashiers check overnighted back. There is no money back into the account the cashiers check came from. It looks like they wanted to be able to report the LX600 sold to Lexus Corporate before the end of the month and then decided to sell both LX600's to someone else for what I can only think, is for more money. This after again they have all paperwork completed and signed and the money for the 2002 LX600 for almost two weeks now. STAY AWAY from this dealership and read the reviews online as they are not good !!! Mike More

Kyle Forma is classless and could use a training or two on how to handle customers! The guy is a xxxxxx! How in the world does that place get any customers through their doors is beyond me! Don’t bother trying to live through the sales gauntlet at Lexus. Tony was my salesperson, so if you want a crappy deal see him. And watch out for Ari, the finance guy. He’ll sell you tinting at $1000, and paint protect for $2000. Fun fun fun. I even reached out to corporate. Nada. More

As I was walking toward the sales entrance, I was promptly greeted by a very personable and friendly young salesperson named David Hower. He asked detailed questions to determine which kind of vehicle would best serve my needs. I was immediately impressed by the fact that David really LISTENS! He is clearly very enthused about selling Lexus cars, and did not have any "hidden agenda" to "up-sell" me. If you are not looking for a "pushy salesperson", be sure to ask to work with David! In so many respects, he is uniquely special and highly qualified. He introduced me to several of his team members. They all seem to enjoy working together; Shottenkirk Desert Lexus is remarkably collegial. David introduced me to a stunning, red mid-sized SUV (Model # NX350h AWD),which is new for 2022. What a beauty - with a hard to find black and tan saddle leather combination interior! It has an "EV DRIVE" which gives you up to 90 miles of driving pleasure without using a drop of gas. David methodically explained that in many ways, this is a "high-tech computer disguised as an SUV". Fortunately for me, David has an extensive IT background, and he set up most of the settings for me with lightening speed. The technology is amazing! (If only it could make dinner and do laundry - because it basically does just about everything else one would expect from a high-end luxury vehicle.) In summary, Shottenkirk Desert Lexus in Cathedral City (Palm Springs area), California is a very pleasant place to do business. The teamwork is amazing to observe, and one would be hard-pressed to finds a more knowledgeable and personable salesperson as David. Be sure to specifically request to work with him! A warning, though: David's genuine smile, enthusiasm, high energy, and kind personality will spoil you compared to any other salesperson you may have worked with elsewhere. I drove away in my new Lexus feeling extremely pleased and satisfied that I had been - and will continue to be - well served by David Hower at Shottenkirk Desert Lexus! I also want to put in a good word for finance director Julian Gonzales for a very seamless financial transaction. Needed new tires and also have car services for a long road trip. Spoke to the Serve Advisor and explained what I needed. New Tires, Oil Change and the routine serve on my 2015 Lexus RX350. (Only 69,000 mile). I was told that they had a special on the tires. I need all four so I ask if the price of the Tires included Alignment. The answer was yes…Well it wasn’t. Also asked that they check the Batterie, I was told that was routine. Well, it wasn’t. Took my car in at 7 am. By 3 pm had not heard anything so I drove over there to see what was going on. I was told they had a problem with one of the new tires and they had to find a replacement. 8 hours yea…. Finally got my car back. The deal on the tires was so bogus. Charge Mounting $64.00, 4 Tires ($236.60 = $946.40) Tire tax $7.00, Tire Disposal Fee $8.00, Fitting Kit (whatever this is (4 @ $13.55) total $54.20. Final total for 4 tires was $1,079.60 = $269.90 each (Good Year tires not Michelin’s) Then, surprise, a $239.95 fee to align the tires. They did give me a $100.00 discount for buying 4 tires. Sales Tax $78.80 for a final bill of $1,298.35 (now the tires cost $324.58 each) The Serve Advisor forgot to put on the work order that I wanted Oil Change and routine service (which he had quoted me approx. $280.00. So that was not done. So, I went to Jiffy Lube and they did the oil change in 15 min and cost $129.00. Don’t know why the Serve is so bad. When it was Desert Lexus (before Shottenkirk took over) the service was great. Guess I will not be taking my car to them again. More
They promise to fix your car and then you hear nothing from them after you drive off the lot. After a month I called back and get rude compatible people that ask you to shut up if you want to hear where t from them after you drive off the lot. Great service at the point of sale but steep drop off immediately afterwards. I put $15,000 down on a new $60,000 Lexus, my first Lexus, and had the transmission fail before even getting back home. Car has been in the shop nearly two weeks now and requires an entirely new transmission. This is a brand new car, defective from the get go. Not only is there no alternatives offered, I can't even get text or phone calls return on a consistent and timely basis. I get that it's a crazy situation, hey I'm the one that has to deal with the consequences, but would have expected far better communication AT A MINIMUM. Never again. More
