Rip off!! My wife and I went to buy a Jeep Compass in July 2019. There were dealer incentives in place at that time. Because we wanted a manual transmission w My wife and I went to buy a Jeep Compass in July 2019. There were dealer incentives in place at that time. Because we wanted a manual transmission we had to wait until one could be delivered, which was not until early September. Incentives expired. We're out of luck. Shane, the salesman we met, was new to the business. Nice guy, but a bit lost. He did manage to get our vehicle ordered. When it finally arrived, he was not in a position to advocate for his customer. We were at the mercy of the sales manager. Mike (not Booth), the sales manager, is the most unscrupulous individual I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. First, he tried to charge me $300 for window tinting that the dealership did NOT do all while insisting how honest he was. Then there is the Road Hazard coverage portion of the Shottenkirk Dealer Prep. Non-negotiable, he said. I believe it cost me $900 and it doesn't cover anything that insurance doesn't cover for free. Unfortunately for us, we got a 2020 vehicle and Kelly Blue Book pricing was not available as a bargaining chip. Mike said "Kelly Blue Book doesn't sell cars." But the dealership advertises all over the showroom how they use Kelly for a fair and honest trade in cost. We wanted the Jeep so we bit the bullet. Never again! I certainly hope that Mike gets his comeuppance soon, before someone else gets taken. More
